Saw the mixed reviews and was a little skeptical, but a Cajun restaurant owner in our hometown recommended this restaurant by name when we mentioned were were visiting New Orleans. Mixed review here years ago, again today. shrimp etouffeee worst ever, could not finish it. shrimp was tiny, soft and muddy without no.
This was a random choice, but was really good definitiw at any time I do not recommend what I had, but I remember that it was good
I wish I could write a good critique on this place. our server was nice, that was it. we sat on reasonable wise, but it took our server.
Fantastic dinner at Mulate's. Went in with a group and got a variety of foods and all was superb. The cornbread and whipped honey butter are an absolute must. The grilled gator bites as well, simply fantastic and so well seasoned and tender! Catfish and shrimp were perfectly fried, and the Caesar salad was delicious. They had live music going when we came in on Friday night. It was during the Final 4 so it was like a 45 min wait for a table but definitely worth it. Would recommend and would return happily!
Stopped here for a final meal before going to the airport. The appetizer was cornbread which was quite appealing. My entree was fried seafood platter consisted of catfish and shrimp. I needed one last taste of cajun before leaving town and this spot did not disappoint.
