Wow--wonderful experience. Food is very creative, and easy to see why this place has been nominated for James Beard award last few years. Cuisine is Asian fusion but with a NOLA twist. Honestly, we loved everything we ordered. Was there with large family group so we got to sample much of the menus. The quality of the fish was quite good, the flavors were fine without being spectacular. The octopus had the most balanced profile and was well made.The margarita was pretty good. The stir fried cabbage would be more aptly named steamed cabbage given the amount of liquid it came with, despite this the flavor could not be argued with. The miso soup was definetely too salty. We enjoyed a fantastic dinner at LUVI. We sat at the chef’s counter and enjoyed watching the raw fish dishes get prepared. Every dish was delicious and had bold and creative flavors that worked together and innovated on traditional classics without obscuring the dish. The price was good and was a great way to enjoy quality and unique dishes that could easily cost twice as much elsewhere. The restaurant had a nice ambiance and a theme that perfectly complemented the food. Crawfish wontons: 8/10 delicious if not slightly predictable Golden nuggets: 9/10 excellent and decadent, and the blueberry sauce was unexpectedly savory and delicious Feed me: 10/10 beautiful presentation and delightful and creative flavor combinations that really elevated the raw fish
Delicious, top quality Asian food. Unique. Must try that crazy Banana and Raw Salmon sushi... surprisingly savory and delicious! RESERVATION ONLY Place is not very big.
At the corner of delicious uniqueness, LUVI combines wild flavor combos with fresh fish for a perfect plate. We did the Feed Us omakase style with the addition of the DanDan Noodles. Would definitely recommend trusting the chefs with the FeedMe! @phidingthefam
Loved it so much. We orders the Feed Me and every sushi dish on the menu. I wish they had more sushi because it all so good. Everything really blew me away. So happy to find amazing sushi in New Orleans. I can’t believe I didn’t know this restaurant was here until now.
What a lovely experience. The food was wonderful truly delicious bites. The chef has a way with sauces. And it takes an impressive amount of skill to dress already fatty salmon with oil and not have to coat the palate in an unpleasant way. I won't soon forget the magnolia ice cream. The staff was attentive and friendly. Will eat here again.
