I currently live in Florida, but I used to work on Bourbon Street, and I really miss the happy dogs! I always enjoyed having one right outside my place. They are long, juicy, and truly a meal in a bag. People often wonder, "A bag?" Well, I got a special treat when I ordered mine. Most of the cooks who prepared my lucky dog would put it in a bag that contained all the fixings. One cook told me he didn't need a bag any... View all feedback.

if you have drunk too much, run cashless and wish you some cheap food, these hot dogs are not bad. They're not really good, but not bad. you will find these cars on various street corners along bourbon st. only after sunset they will begin to see them here and there and they will leave. after about 9 watches they will begin to see how people buy hotdogs. while the night goes on, small lines will begin to form. I haven't seen any of the horror stories I saw in other reviews, but I don't doubt them either. they get what they pay, so have no high expectations.
If your In the mood for a real good hot dog lucky dog is not the place to go it doesn’t have great taste , it stinks , and it’s fresh out the hot dog water , but if your feeling good off the liquor late at night I guest it won’t phase you … but your LUCKY if you live !
They handed me a hot dog and it accidentally fell onto the ground! So I left the stand with no food and no money back at all because the man handling the food insisted to the cashier not to! This happened a while ago but it still makes my blood boil till this day. I’ve dealt with a lot but whoever runs the one near Bourbon St. needs to reevaluate their position in customer service/satisfaction. If you decide to get something from here, make sure you hold onto your food very tight because they will NOT give you another serving and will ultimately steal your money, ruin your entire night/smirk at you while you’re distressed and confused. Weirdest experience of my life.
Horrible experience with the Lucky Dog on Decatur. My son's hot dog bun had mold on it, so we got a replacement. I should have just thrown it all away, but tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. It can happen, right? Well a few more bites into my lucky dog, and I realize there are maggots crawling in my ketchup. We got our money back, but that's hardly the point. And as I'm on the corner crying and trying to hurl into the bushes, the dude is still selling hot dogs to everyone that comes up.
Poor/slow customer service both times departures arrival. Our departing flight the young girl was too busy filling ketchup bottles and on the phone to provide decent customer service. We left without being served. Don’t treat customers as if we’re inconveniencing you
