I was in New Orleans for work and came across reviews of Antoine’s, and I was not disappointed! I sat in the very comfortable, old-school setting. What User doesn't like about Hermes:
We were looking for a place to have a drink and a few short bites while we walk around the neighborhood. The food we ordered from the menu was quite terrible. We haven't finished anything that says much since we've been hungry and drinking. These 3 stars to give, although on the positive side our server was super friendly and the drinks were decent. Stop for a drink, but save your food elsewhere. View all feedback.
I must say that this is absolutely my favorite place to hang up in all French quarters. the wait staff are some of the best I ever come and the owners are not too ashamed themselves. I would like to thank hermes bar and antoine that they always offer me excellent memories and experiences.
Excellent service! They clearly pride themselves on old fashioned professional bar service. Worth any extra the drinks cost.
Its one of the oldest buildings in new Orleans, we had an amazing experience at the bar, the service, the drinks and the food were great, especially the potatos. The atmosphere was wonderful and the prices were resonable. We even had the chance to have the coffee diabolique, that is normaly just served at the restaurant. It was wonderful and one of our Highlights !
The hostes, bartender, and waitress Megan were all more than accommodating. I would HIGHLY recommend coming here and trying out the classical atmosphere they provide!!!! The food was great! I liked eating at the bar too.
Randomly stopped here for a drink during the week and it was such a nice old-world vibe. Very laid back, classic jazz music playing, and great drinks. A nice reprieve if you want a classy/mature experience in the French Quarter.
