What User doesn't like about Gita Pita:
I was thrilled to find out that Gita Pita had a location in the Orléans Parish community. I had previously visited their Chalmette location and really enjoyed my meal there. The shawarma chicken dish with hummus, tender chicken, baba ghanoush, fresh vegetables, garlic sauce, and a touch of hot sauce, all served with fresh pita bread, is still reasonably priced and the service is exceptional. The DIGITAL sign says $8.99 for a gyro sandwich. When I go to check out, it cost $10.99. I ask why. The lady says there is a sign (one small piece of paper on the glass) that says Due to shortages, $1 will be added to food prices So then I ask, why is it $10.99 and not $9.99. The lady tell me corona virus I just paid $14 for a gyro, after tip, that was modest at best. Change your sign people. Be honest.
On google it says that the load opens at 11 o'clock in the morning. I'll be there at 11:15. lady worked rude there, she told me to come 12 o'clock. When I arrived at 12 o'clock, lady gave me a look and told me she's not open yet. I'm not coming back here. No matter how good they make eating, their business will not flourish when they learn to respect customers.
My first time with shawarma it was really delicious that is a very authentic restaurant. they can eat outside and take it out
Great authentic Mediterranean food. The pita is fresh made with every order and all the ingredients are fresh. Would highly recommend.
Rude as hell staff. Pricey. I’ll be going somewhere else from now on!
