Contribute Feedback What James wilson likes about Galliano:
Menu is great, but some of the flavors were off. Cocktails were excellent. The turtle soup had an unusual flavor. It had a heavy clove like flavor that 2 of the 3 of us did not like. We really liked the seafood stew. View all feedback.
What Chris doesn't like about Galliano:
Least favorite meal in NOLA. Everything was sub par at best . Don’t even want to go into describing each plate ordered as there was nothing good about any of them . View all feedback.
Unfortunately I was not impressed by this restaurant. our server was not very attentive, has commanded forget and made me and my male friend a stereotypical statement. she asked where we were from and before we could answer, she made an acceptance atlanta. not sure why she proposed this city. Maybe because we are American. I am from California Bay area and the herr was from new York-Long island. also the server forgot to bring our cocktails. we saw them sitting at least 10 minutes on the bar before they brought them, and we saw them from our table further in the bar and others commanded. And finally, my date dessert and when they came back to the table 15 minutes later, she asked if we were willing to order a dessert. he asked for the check and didn't even remind her that he already told her what we wanted to dessert. my seafood pasta was not so good. the sauce was very thick with too many noodles. my date enjoyed his burger so that it was good. again I will not apply this restaurant again when visiting new orleans.
Gallianos eating and table service were excellent. we had half-shell oysters, baked oysters and louisiana seafood lafourche. all very good! on the other side I had a reservation by opentable for 19 clock, and we were not up to 7:40. the host said he would find me at the bar when the table was finished, and he didn't. I had to go back and remind him we were waiting. while we waited, several other tables were sitting. we finally took place 45 minutes after our reservation time. the area is a little small, and the noise level has sometimes been exaggerated. her choice of music was very repetitiw and monotonous, especially as only the bass could be heard.
The way they serve the Smoked Old Fashioned (cocktail) is interesting. The food (I had pork chops, my companion had stuffed mahi mahi) was very good. I was somewhat disappointed that there were so few seafood options on the menu, but I do understand that in New Orleans, a restaurant struggles to find its own niche. Our server was excellent, and gave us good recommendations.
Still the best charbroiled oysters I’ve ever had!! All the other food was so decadent and delicious!!!!! The staff was very friendly!!!
Great friendly staff Food was exceptional Service was efficient and non intrusive Will definitely dine there again when in NOLA
