The service was extremely slow, taking 25 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us after we were seated. The oysters were underwhelming, and the shrimp was overcooked. However, the jambalaya was fantastic. Unfortunately, we also experienced poor service and received the wrong orders. Overall, the food was mediocre, and I wouldn't return. View all feedback.

My favorite oyster bar in New Orleans! For many years on business trip or holidays. It was very pleased that the ambience and food was better last week than ever before when my wife and I were in NOLA for 5 days. The interior had an upgrade since last visit a few years ago, but retains the original taste when I visited Tulane graduate many years ago. Great New Orleans feel at the place and the service and the food were excellent as always.
We went to Desire for fresh oysters and classic New Orleans seafood and were absolutely not disappointed, Add in wonderful service and we had an enormous evening, in fact we went back a few days later and had an equally great experience. Very moderate price for the neighborhood, we recommend!!
