Their beignets were okay. Very big in size and quite doughy. Perhaps we're not big beignet people. HOWEVER, their carrot cake is TO DIE FOR. We came back two more times just for the carrot cake. Love the environment and the line isn't too long but even when it is, it's not too impossible to stand in it. View all feedback.
What Diane G doesn't like about Cafe Soule And The Paris Room:
The beignets were great, and my omelette was good, but what I will remember most about this dining experience is that the two people I came here with received their food orders and were finished with them before mine was brought to the table. And I watched several other diners who came after us receive their omelettes. That was frustrating. View all feedback.
These beignets were the bomb! Nice cozy place with lovely courtyard outdoors. Fast service.
Cafe Beignet was great! Came here on a whim and the line was long but moved quickly. The cafe is positioned just beside a police station with seating indoor (limited) and outdoor. You place your order and they bring out to you. Clearly a popular dining destination. Wish there was more seating options. The mufellata was delicious and cafe was well made. A must have when in town.
First time visitor Multiple location of this chain This one is located closer to the french quarter Plenty of outdoor seating and live music and outdoor bar Place sells po boys, spices, trinkets, and of course beignets! 3 in a order so easily shareable! Caffeine goodness also available! Order in place and find a seat and they will find you! Quick efficient service and out the door you go! The vanilla cafe au lait delicious flavorful compliments the beignets that were fresh crisp not greasy soft and fluffy. Great spot to enjoy the outdoors, listen to music, people watch, family friendly area, and pit stop for next adventure ahead!
We had a great time here. There was a huge line at the Cafe du Monde on Decatur, less so and then not at all at this place. When in NOLA you gotta do some beignets...and yes, after a few it gets harder to put them away (lol). The folks at the counter moved the mine quickly for dine in and to go orders. Plenty of space to sit indoors and since the weather was amazing for Louisiana yesterday, it was outdoor seating for us. I ordered the seasonal beignets which was covered in chocolate and topped with strawberries and powdered sugar. The kids had the classic powdered sugar only The latte was hot and smooth, but a small is enough...for e regular day. The beignets are filling so to have more will just be an invitation for a slug of a day. It was good coffee though, and they have capable baristas. Clean streets and quiet folk on Royale that aren't a spillover from the other streets (ahem, Bourbon) here. So, you can enjoy your coffee here without much of a show. If your in the quarter this is your beignet spot.
