Bourbon House - New Orleans

It’s way too many restaurants on Bourbon to raise money here. Oysters were ok, crab claws were so tiny, gumbo tasted like it came from the bottom of the pot, the crab and corn soup was just a NO, and lastly the red fish wasn’t good. I asked for a refill on my drink and that never happened. Overall this was a disappointment and a waste of $100.

The restaurant is very nice and on the day we went, it was 98 degrees outside. Unfortunately, the AC just could not keep up and it was warm in the restaurant. The waiter was not quick to refill drinks and overall could have been a little more responsive. The food was perfectly fine but it just wasn't quite the Brennan's restaurant experience I have typically enjoyed in New Orleans.

Our waiter, Tom, was fantastic. We didn't have to wait long for our drinks. Our food order came out promptly and was delicious. I tried the pork tenderloin and it was excellent. They also have amazing specialty cocktails. I would definitely return to this restaurant.

The redfish was excellent and our waiter was knowledgeable and very attentive!

We have been dining at this restaurant for years, but our most recent visit was the worst we have ever had. The food was excellent, but the service was terrible. Our server, Justus, was not very attentive. We waited over twenty minutes for the bottle of wine we ordered and had to ask him three times for more bread. After dinner, he forgot our coffee and we had to remind him by walking up to the service area. We plan to return in November in hopes of receiving better service, as we know the food is fantastic.
