Boswell's Jamaican Grill - New Orleans

I have yet to find a Jamaican veggie Pattie that is authentic this is trash this is not the authentic golden crust that is called for in Jamaican patty recipe. Also it’s barely any filings it’s mostly dough. The crust is doughy and not crispy or flaking it more like a pie crust and the Jamaican flavor isn’t there . Any vegan or vegetarian would appreciate if the Pattie had a different veggie instead of peas, carrot and potatoes maybe mushrooms?Also the entire meal was ok but it was lacking flavor especially the cabbage and rice! The rice didn’t seem fresh it seemed like it was old sitting under a heat lamp.over it’s a good option if you’re hungry with no other options.Vegetarian options: Not to good

The food is always great here! I usually order the jerk chicken with cabbage and rice and peas. Sometimes they run out, but if you get there earlier in the day you can grab some beef patties. Those are my favorite, especially the spicy ones!

Food was very mediocre to say the least..I had the oxtails (19.25) they were very small and fatty pieces..I also got the brown stew chicken plate (14.95)which included a very small leg, thigh and piece of small chicken back. Each plate came with choice of 2 sides..the rice and peas was very dry..Callaloo and Mac and cheese were okay..I've included pictures but we had already started eating the oxtails

Got the oxtails with the rice and peas and mac and cheese. It was totally underwhelming and underserved. The food was cold, lacked flavor and I only got 4 small pieces of oxtails. And even those were tough. I should have know with no one in the parking lot on a Saturday evening.

Nice quiet lunch, very tasty food. Fast courteous service. I will definitely go there again.
