If your quest to find the ultimate new england clam chowder just goes on, and on... pack your stuff and come to Florian. I appreciate that there are many tastes and many paths to chowder-nirvana, my path took me here. (Lobster roll is pretty good too) Special thanks to chef Jean Mark, and Kevin for a great experience. What Les doesn't like about Florian Sea Meat Raw:
What kind of Belgium restaurant has no Belgium beer???. LOL. And it is a very depressing happy hour. Zero vibe. Good food though and nice people but don't call yourself Belgium just because it serves Mussels and Frites. It's a joke. Next time I will bring my own Chimay. View all feedback.
Service was good so an extra star but a seafood restaurant with little seafood? The online menu doesn?t match what is actually available in restaurant. The beer selection is sub par and the food very much below average. Ended up with a steak due to having no fish or seafood options beyond fish and chips. Steak was way over cooked, spinach was beyond way over cooked and had zero flavor or even seasoning. Fries were not even edible. Well at least the prices were way too high! Cannot recommend nor will I return.

I?m giving this place 2 stars because the drinks are good and the desserts are decent, but the FOOD?!?! So disappointing. They do not season their food. Even the pancakes were bland. I will never order food from there again, it?s a waste of money. There are so many better options in the area. Go for the happy hour drinks, and that?s it
My wife and I are on our ?Honeymoon? due to covid, we?re restricted to travel to the destination where we really want but decided to take a visit to Connecticut New Haven. The second night we decided to pop into this restaurant and was blown away by the hospitality and food. Our server Kelly was fantastic, she was very personable and attentive. If you like sea food then you?ll definitely like this place. The chef is French and pays attention to detail without fail and hand makes the deserts. Speaking of deserts, my wife had the Vanilla Creme Brûlée which is divine and I had the Flan and it was sublime. Definitely a place to experience.
Good food reasonably priced. First order of French fries looked bottom of the bag too small and crumbly. Other than than sliders, oysters, calamari was good. Taste clean and server Kevin was friendly and helpful.
