Four of us stopped in for lunch and were only disappointed that there were no tables available outside. However, we were not disappointed with our menu choices- a difficult decision as there were so many choices. My husband enjoyed his Cod chowder, one lady raved about the amount and quality of lox in her bagel, the other gentleman enjoyed his sandwich of corned beef which was sliced thick and piled high.I ordered the... What User doesn't like about The Apple Tree Sandwich Shop:
Stopped at Apple Tree after the great online ratings. Showed up 20 min before the posted closing time and was told rudely the kitchen was closed. I wanted to get a sandwich to go enjoy at the beach and would have paid and left well...More View all feedback.
Very fresh and generous portions, this place is just great, and if it's nice enough to sit in the garden under the trees, one would be hard pressed to find a nicer lunch spot anywhere.
I recently moved to the Slocan Valley and was told about Apple Tree by a friend. I decided to give it a try and ordered the soup and sandwich special. It was absolutely delicious. I had passed by the valley many times before but had never stopped at Apple Tree. I definitely won't make that mistake again. The restaurant is small and peaceful, with amazing food and friendly staff.
What a great place for lunch. Friendly staff, fabulous food. The Bombay Bisque was fantastic. Thanks ladies!
My spouse and I decided to have lunch at this restaurant and tried their delicious sandwiches. Unfortunately, they were out of avocado, which was a letdown. However, the Cobbler was excellent and made with real cranberries. We were fortunate to have arrived early as the restaurant closed earlier than expected.
I eat breakfast here a lot and always have the breakfast bagel, but I spice it up with Ebesse Zozo hot sauce to give it that zing. the garden is beautiful, the kitchen staff are great and friendly. That said, the owner is a cranky old man, who has basically ignored me for the last 10 years. His wifi is awful. Today, I got on the router after about 6 tries, with the password sesquipedalianism , and I stayed on for 8 minutes. A new record. When I complain, he deflects me with some excuse. The router is upstairs...... Now I know enough to use my cell phone 's data plan. Don 't let this blurb stop you from visiting here. The food is excellent, and who needs wifi. Better to actually talk to a real person.
