New Berrima General Store

Poor staff training and management. Recently my parnter went in to pay with a zip debit card that operates through google pay, same as a normal card or credit card. Our pay had not come in yet. We had every intention of paying our bills. They declined the transaction. Even though we had the means to pay it in a widely used method of payment. There were no signs warning they would not accept this. They then proceeded to humiliate my partner in front of the store instead of asking for our details first which we were more than happy to supply. We came back that day to pay and we paid and my partner mentioned he was uspset with the situation that morning. As we were leaving we were approached in the carpark and my partner was accused of being aggressive. My partner had only expressed frustratration with the staff of the morning. We are locals whom visited very regularly and always paid. There was zero compassion and professionalism shown by some of the staff and management.

Such a great local store, they have a bit of everything, and have saved me many times in an emergency. The staff are super friendly their chips are the best! (I’m veggie so I can’t speak for the rest of their food but it’s always busy with people getting lunch and dinner! and their bottle shop is well stocked.

Called in for fuel. Very happy with the price. Also successfully helped with a hardware request.

Was served by a lovely man by the name of Nick. Was very friendly and listened when I told him which sweets I wanted. Was quick and accomodating when serving me on the register and wished me a good night when I left. Shop was well stocked and clean and found exactly what I went there for! Great service!
