The spacious restaurant was bustling with diners, and the bar immediately caught our attention as we entered. The tables were elegantly simple, and we settled in to peruse the menu. While there is an à la carte option, we opted for the set menu priced at $96 for six courses. The dishes showcased premium ingredients that are familiar yet elevated to an extraordinary standard. The meal began with Tasmanian scallops complemented by lychee, fresh young coconut, and seaweed, resulting in a delightful combination of flavors. The scallops were expertly cooked. Another highlight was a watermelon salad topped with delightful salty floss; it featured ground salmon with roasted scallops and Huon River trout caviar, offering a stunning contrast of textures against the sweet, juicy watermelon—certainly a unique dish. One of our favorites was the red duck curry, with its crispy roasted skin—a beautiful, mellow curry that was rich and full of aromatic flavors. We also enjoyed a fragrant and spicy mixed mushroom dish. Another standout was the slipper lobster served with pomelo, shredded betel leaves, and chili sauce. This dish was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection; we couldn’t get enough of it. For dessert, we indulged in a luscious tamarind cheesecake, elegantly paired with a dollop of cream. It was a delightful ending to an already outstanding meal. The restaurant also offers an impressive drinks menu with excellent cocktails, including the Smokin’ Heat cocktail—a blend of smoked Bulleit rye, apple juice, elderflower liqueur, and chili. It was not only delicious but also visually captivating. A visit to this restaurant promises an unforgettable experience. It stands out as the best Thai restaurant we've dined at, even compared to those in Thailand. It’s definitely worth making a special trip and spending a little extra for such top-notch quality.

The restaurant offers an intimate atmosphere and it was truly an amazing experience. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the flavors were perfectly balanced and rich. I highly recommend this culinary experience to everyone! It took me on a delightful journey for my senses. Service: dine-in, Meal type: dinner.

What a hidden treasure! If you're looking for completely authentic traditional Thai cuisine, this might not be the place for you. However, if you're interested in a fusion experience that leans towards authenticity, then you’re in for a treat. The dishes are well-flavored and packed with layers of complexity that you wouldn’t find in a typical pan-fried scallop with cauliflower puree. The service is attentive, and while the modern decor is a bit sterile and could use some personality, it is still clean and comfortable overall. Service was for dine-in.

Having eaten some of Bangkok’s best Thai restaurants in the past 12 months, Paste Australia definitely sits up there! Clean, authentic, complex Thai flavours and warm service. Definitely the best Thai I’ve had in Australia! Nice to see some half-bottle options on the wine menu too. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
