The food was good. The appetizer, dalmadakia, probably in the microwave. Wine was okay. The service too. The operation could only take the card numbers. The Greek names were strange to her. Strange for a Greek restaurant. View all feedback.
General The Crete Taverne Kunos is an institution in Neuwied Engers. Chef Michael is still in the restaurant and welcomes guests and stays with regular guests. The restaurant itself is now run by his son. The audience here consists of over 90 regular visitors. Personally the atmosphere is known... What do I expect when I visit a Greek restaurant? A relaxed and cozy atmosphere that rotates both the guests and the hosts. An authentic, tasty and fresh kitchen that actually tastes for Greece. And the whole thing in a Greek rustic but cozy ambience. Service The service is friendly but not overwhelming with pleasure. However, this is not the case in Greece. The card was quickly taken to the table. During the order intake an Ouzo was served in front of the house. The drinks and dishes were served in a reasonable time. The billing and the bill were also timely. The food An eggplant salad was chosen by me as an appetizer. It is funny, it is not on the map in many Greek restaurants, and in some cases it is on the map, but it is always gone. The eggplants are served with some pieces of white bread and tastefully decorated. I always enjoy it. To the main course there was the Gyros for me, my wife chose Souvlaki. A salad was served in both dishes served in front of the warm food. This is also the only criticism of the food I can offer. Salad simply lacks spices. I demanded vinegar and oil, and I sucked the salad that he would fulfill my wishes. The two meat dishes were as always very delicious, my Gyros crispy grilled, also the Souvlaki. These are probably TK goods that had no taste. The discs were very ruthless as I like. For this, a small part of Zaziki and a red pepper tomato preparation on the plate are dressed very tasty. In the end I had a delicious Greek coffee with a lot of sugar mmmmhhhh. The ambience sober, rustic, cozy only Greek. Cleanliness There is absolutely nothing to do with the cleanliness of the restaurant and the toilets.
Good and attentive service very delicious food. Zaziki was very good the salad to the main dish is really delicious the gyros and the liver were very delicate and not too much seasoned.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the food there. It was tastefully okay, but not particularly outstanding. It did not seem to be truly authentic Greek, and the staff did not even know the Greek names of the dishes we had to call them the numbers. In addition, we were calculated too much when paying. Were there the first and last time.
I was eating there yesterday. I had invited a good friend to dinner, a birthday present. The food was very delicious. Especially the Tsatziki you have to try that is mega. The staff is also very friendly and funny. I can only recommend it to everyone.
