We are regular patrons at this restaurant. Unfortunately tonight we witnessed an unacceptable food order. Mood was present on our nan bread. Giving the restaurant a chance we called to inquire about the mood, which they blamed on a marker. Really? Green mood color markers? I used to eat or pick up regularly from shaan and also my friends and family. I found eating delicious, fresh, well made and cheap. Last week, I ordered the same thing I often ordered, and it was so bad. I had to throw it away. the dhaal was bitter and not the same recipe as usual, and the garnels were as old and gummy I had feared to eat them. it was really disgusting. Now I'm afraid I'll order from there again. what a disappointment.
It is a hole in the wall in a strip mall with a handful of tables, whose main business is out. we've been on the road for years and I'm grateful they've survived the pandemic.
Drawn to kanada from the united kingdom and searched for a good curry house for old. my search is over. they do not have much choice in terms of the variety of dishes, but do not let them deceive. I had the best lamb. curry I had on Friday night in a LONG time, and my partner had the chicken curry that was also really delicious. the lamb was so tender and the spicy tasted fresh, I was thrilled. the warmth is caused by an addition of green sauce, no for mild, a small amount for medium, with larger help for hot, extra hot and drachen breathe.' samosas are large and well looked out, but we have no order, we will try to visit some at our next visit. naan brot is in order, nothing special. restaurant is small and cozy looking, but was only due to restrictions. service was fast, friendly and the personal wore masks. shaan curry house will definitely be on regular rotation for outbreaks.
I have ordered shaan a few times for group office lunches and were both beautifully impressed. the taste is authentic, portions are generous, prices are good, and the service is fast. one of my favorite places for curry in ottawa.
Just ask for a Chicken delight and Chicken Samosa extra... and enjoy... or... there is a good variety of food to test... nice quiet and small place to eat... the owner is always there and is waiting for your opinion on how was the food......I go twice a month... since I live to far :
