Panago Pizza - Nelson

I've ordered from here for years but I just had the worst customer service experience and I will no longer be supporting Panago at all. Which is a bummer cause they're the only place that delivers to where I live and the pizza is really good for a chain. I was trying to place an order through the app and it wouldn't let me because this store is out of caramelized onions, no big deal, I'll take red onions. I couldn't figure out how to do it through the app without being charged so I called the number, thinking they can just make a note about subbing red onions for caramelized onions. Nope, it's an extra $2/pizza to replace the thing they are out of with something else. Yes, it's only $2 but the principal of being charged extra to replace something they are out of is absolutely ridiculous. Not impressed, and now I'm hangry.

Consistently out of things. Forgets your beverages. Rude female employee who gets mad at you for complaining? In a small town with tons of other pizza options this is unacceptable.

Very few fast food chains earn a five-star rating, but this particular Panago truly deserves it. They use high-quality ingredients compared to other pizza places, often opting for organic when possible. The pizza exceeded all my expectations!

I don't typically give chain restaurants a 5-star rating, but I have to make an exception for this one because they offer so many vegan (plant-based) options. My daughter has tried a lot of vegan pizzas over the years, and we both agree that Panago Pizza in Nelson consistently delivers high-quality pies. The young woman who takes the orders and makes the pizzas is very professional and works quickly. I was pleasantly surprised when my pizza was ready before I expected it while I was still in my car. The staff even brought it out to me, which I really appreciated. This location is conveniently located across from Safeway.

I ordered from here on Thursday, December 9th, and tried the New Yorker deli sandwich. It was served hot, loaded with toppings, and incredibly tasty. I thought it was a great value at $19 for such a large portion!
