While some found the food disappointing with overcooked vegetables and lackluster flavors, others enjoyed fresh and delicious dishes. The restaurant recently changed ownership, with some customers noting an improvement in the taste and quality of the food. Friendly and attentive service was a common highlight, despite occasional issues such as overly spicy dishes. Overall, the restaurant caters to a variety of tastes, with some customers praising the delicious Pad Thai and Thai soup, while others were left disappointed with the overall dining experience.
My wife (Thai National) and I had the pleasure of eating here. The restaurant is run by a lovely Thai family and is very authentic. It has new management and owners and is highly recommended. I have lived in Thailand for 18 years and I can tell you that the food here is the most authentic I have had outside Thailand. Make sure you tell them to make it Thai style but ensure you tell them your desired spicy level! The larb chicken wings were beautifully prepared with lovely rare herbs and the tom yum goong was divine. Try the Thai iced tea as well a refreshing treat. The service was lovely. They took great care and definitely are passionate about sharing their food and culture.Give it a go you won’t be disappointed.
We were impressed by the quality of the food and service at this restaurant, and so were our family members visiting from Calgary. They are big city food enthusiasts and they thought it was one of the best Thai restaurants they had tried. The atmosphere was nice and the service was efficient and friendly. We definitely plan on returning.
We had our favorite meal in Nelson at this restaurant. We discovered it on our final evening and it was a fantastic find. The food was outstanding, especially the Green curry which was my favorite. The service was very friendly, and it felt like a family-run establishment. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience.
This charming little restaurant located on Baker Street has a lovely outdoor terrace perfect for enjoying the summer months. The menu features all the Thai classics, as well as a variety of lunch specials priced at $18, which is quite reasonable. The restaurant is open 7 days a week and offers specials daily. The establishment is run by a family, with the chef, his wife, and his sister-in-law managing the kitchen. The food is tasty, but for a more authentic Thai experience, be sure to request extra chili or other traditional ingredients.
The restaurant has gone through a transition to new owners which is often not a good sign. But in this case it is a great improvement that is surprising since it was pretty good in previous visits. The varied taste sensations brought back memories of Thailand. Spicey but not overpowering, subtle when required and bold when you wanted that bit of a surprise. Great time.
