Ma Noodle House - National City

This place is hided gem. We are visiting San Diego for a couple of days. Decided on Chinese food. Ma Noodle delivers so we took a chance. I’m glad we did. We ordered the Yang chow Rice, the salted chicken and the crispy shrimp. The food was great. The portions were big as well. It was enough for at least 3 people. I haven’t had Chinese food this good in very long time. Nothing overly or under seasoned. Great experience. Definitely recommend.

Ordered Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings. They were just as tasty as the big name places, but $5 cheaper. Their menu is universally a few dollars cheaper than every other Chinese restaurant in the area. They probably save on money by being a one man operation. This is a no frills, order at the counter kind of spot. But the cook was friendly and the food was prepared to order. Can't really ask for more than that.

So I’m extremely disgusted and disappointed, this place has the best Wong tong soup ever, until yesterday. I ordered won’t tong soup, came home, opened the lid and there was a dead baby roach floating around in my soup. Go ahead an zoom in the picture to see for yourself.

Ordered online, got there, they didn't have the order and had no idea

Everything was super salty! The flavor was there for the salt and pepper shrimp, but it was still too salty. My family that like a lot of salt in their food also said it was kinda salty.
