I tried the spicy flavor. They're crispy and the coleslaw that comes with the order is so yummy, cleanses the palette very well. What Alejandro Gomez doesn't like about Bonchon Seven Hills:
Spent 68 here in total, got wings and strips , the wings were fine but I bit into a strip that was just essentially cartilage and random like mystery meat? It was extremely off putting , also I paid 26 for these strips so I was expecting a different experience to say the least, needless to say I did not touch the rest of the strips . Wings were fine but the strips left me with such a bad experience I won?t be returni... View all feedback.
The service was great, the wait time was expected, but I was disappointed with the food, especially the bibimbap. We ordered Bibimbap, Bull dak, and Japchae. The Bull dak needed a bit more salt and I personally thought it was a bit too spicy for my taste, other than that it was a decent meal. The Japchae noodles were a bit overcooked and oily as well, but it was flavorful. The Bibimbap, however, tasted like I was licking a rock from the ocean. The rice was hard and dry, the oyster mushroom?s flavor overpowered the entire Bibimbap (hence the rock ocean taste), and the portion of the Bibimbap for 12-13 bucks was NOT worth it at all. I do however want to give the fried chicken a try as that?s what they are known for. So I?ll def give it a try one more time.
Yesterday,I wanted my family to try better fried chicken, definitely it was good choice. I ordered combo medium and tacoyaki, after tried I added another fried chicken wing, they were very fresh , crispy, delicious! But only about tacoyaki, disappointed, I have to give only 3stars, because they were different taste that I had expected original tacoyaki and too small portion for octopus . except tacoyaki We are all satisfied their chickens ! Their customer service was also perfect ! I want to go back to try another delicious one ! My mother-in-law who is 90 years old lady, was also enjoyed a lot! Thanks for my friend who recommended this place and Bonchon (national city)!
We also tried the chicken sliders as an appetizer, and honestly, they were very dry and lacked flavor. We had chosen the soy garlic option, but the only noticeable taste came from the coleslaw. For our main courses, we ordered the Bulgogi and Chicken Fried Rice. The Bulgogi was just average. It was served on a bed of freshly cut onions, which added a nice contrast, but the dish was overly oily, which detracted from the overall flavor. The Chicken Fried Rice tasted like something you’d find at a buffet—pre-cooked rice that had been sitting in a warming dish, with meat mixed in upon ordering. It wasn’t served hot, which was disappointing since fried rice generally tastes better when it’s fresh out of the pan. We went there primarily to try the chicken wings and ordered a small serving of 50/50 boneless wings in sweet red chili and soy garlic. For a restaurant that prides itself on chicken, I found the wings to be a letdown. They seemed pre-fried and had no crunch, with a hard texture that left them neither juicy nor tender. The sweet red chili sauce felt like an afterthought with a bland taste, and the soy garlic flavor was barely noticeable. Overall, I came in with high hopes but left questioning whether I’d return. Given the prices, I think I’d be better off finding fried chicken elsewhere. The only real positive I can mention is that the food was definitely Instagram-ready. In my opinion, it's a solid three-star eatery.
Oh no, I forgot to take pictures of the spicy wings and octopus balls! I'll definitely be returning just for the chicken. As for the octopus balls, I wasn’t a big fan. They were served hot and crispy on the outside but a bit gooey on the inside, with only a tiny piece of octopus inside. I'm not a fan of mayo, and one of the sauces they used was mayo-based. I have four other dishes I plan to try, and I'll keep you updated on those!
Bonchon takes chicken to another level! I'm absolutely hooked on the spicy flavor. The chicken is incredibly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I'm truly excited!
