Reviews - Ruby Thai Kitchen
Reviews summary
A bustling mall food-court spot praised for bold, tender chicken, well-cooked rice and noodles, generous portions and wallet-friendly prices. Many return for consistent flavors and quick counter service, but experiences vary: reviewers report erratic staff service, questionable handling of small requests (extra cup fees) and alarming reports of food-related illness. The overall draw is tasty, no-frills Asian fare for casual shoppers and families, but repeated service inconsistencies and safety concerns suggest exercising caution before dining.

The food here is fantastic! A colleague of mine suggested it, and I was initially hesitant because it's located in a mall food court, but I was pleasantly surprised! Everything was delicious! The chicken is full of flavor, the noodles are cooked just right, and the egg roll is quite tasty. I would definitely recommend Ruby Thai to others now. View all feedback.

I used to really enjoy this place, but I recently experienced severe food poisoning after dining here. Please be cautious if you decide to go. I'm surprised they don't have any food safety violations. View all feedback.

Perhaps it was because it was the end of the day, but the food was not good. No Thai taste at all in the three dishes I tried. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

I always go to this restaurant and the food is usually good but today they gave me raw chicken and told me it was “duck meat” when I clearly got mango chicken. They did absolutely nothing about it. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

It's tasty food court food, fast service, no drama get your food and eat. Staff was friendly. Mango chicken was delicious.
Ruby may be a nice name, but the food here definitely doesn't reflect Thai cuisine.

Why is this place called Thai when there are no actual Thai dishes available? Why is food court fare being sold through DoorDash? I'm really disappointed.
For us, service is always as important as (if not more than) the food. In this case, it sucked because we actually liked the food before the incident. We had asked for an extra cup for the toddler after ordering $35+ worth of food. They said it will cost 50 cents and without cash, they said we don’t take cards for 50 cents. Went to sarku japan right beside it and they gave us cup+lid+straw without hesitation and no charge. We didn’t even order from them. It is interesting when a business makes a small decision like this. We are never going back.

Absolutely amazing! I highly recommend the mango chicken! I went back twice during my visit to the mall because it was so delicious!
Generous portions at a reasonable price. The flavors are fantastic, and the texture is just right. I particularly appreciate that Ruby Thai consistently serves tender rice and noodles, as well as perfectly cooked chicken—something I often struggle to find at other Chinese and Thai restaurants. Ruby Thai never disappoints!
I dine here every Saturday. The flavors are excellent, the portions are generous, and the quality is on par with a Michelin-starred restaurant.
