We made a reservation for 7:30 on a Saturday night, but when we arrived, it turned out that we didn’t really need one. The service was prompt, and the Mai Tais and Sauvignon Blanc were the perfect complements to our delicious food. The drinks were a bit pricey, but we enjoyed a shared appetizer, two salads, and two entrees. In total, with the tip, our bill came to $250!

The service was excellent, and the drinks were very good. We particularly enjoyed the tuna tartare appetizer, which was fantastic! My husband ordered the Osso Bucco; it was very tender, but it wasn't cut in the traditional style, and there was no gremolata served with the hollowed bone. I opted for the lobster gnocchi, which was so rich that I found it hard to eat much of it—not to mention the serving size was enormous! It really needed some acidity to balance out the richness. We were willing to give the restaurant another chance, but the combination of the disappointing food and the very loud dining room has led us to decide to skip Maxwells 148 the next time we go out for dinner.

This wasn't our first trip to Maxwell's but it was perfect for a last minute couples night out. The menu seems to be a little more casual than in the past but it was all delicious appetizers, drinks, dinner and dessert.

Amazing! We went for our anniversary and they treated us like royalty. Food was out of this world especially the beet salad. And service was even better. Our waitress had the bartender make me a special drink and they were out of the wine we wanted so she got them to give us a better bottle for same price!

Made a reservation for 7:30 on a Saturday night. Never been so we wanted to cover ourselves. Arrival- turns out reservation wasn't necessary. Service was spot on, Mai Tais and Savignon were perfect accompany to our delishous food. A bit pricey for drinks, a shared appetizer, 2 salads, and 2 entrees. Tab with tip at the end was $250!
