Peter Giannacopoulos immigrated to the United States from Greece in 1967 and fell in love with the restaurant business while living on the waterfronts of Boston. On April 21, 1975, he opened Dolphin Seafood restaurant with the support of his family and friends. Peter personally selects the finest seafood from the piers of Boston each morning to ensure that his guests are served top-quality dishes in a friendly atmosphere at an affordable price.

Living in the Boston area I know that we have the best seafood probably in the world. However the swordfish presented to me at the Dolphin was pitiful. Dry, dry, and no flavor. And almost on the cold side. I will not go back there. It's too bad, they are in a great location in downtown Natick.
Unfortunately, this will be our last time eating in the dolphin, as they close and reinvent themselves. the fried fish plate was plentiful and slightly fried (not greasy) and the seafood and pasta were also delicious. demanded diavlo sauce that added a kick and was very good. the service was great as it was always. I look forward to the next iteration.
Maybe it 's COVID, or maybe it 's the way it is, but the service was definitely sub-standard. Any questions regarding substitutions or special dietary needs we asked were greeted with a rather abrupt NO! as the response, including a complete lack of understanding or support for gluten-free diets. If you 're gluten-free, I would suggest avoiding Dophin. While the restaurant was sparsely attended, the service was slow and decidedly unhelpful. At the end of the meal, we were told to Get out as they needed to clean up so they could go home. Yikes. The food itself was OK , but priced well above the quality and presentation. Overall, a disappointing, expensive meal.
