Description

FresCafe in Natick serves generous, well-made breakfast classics—French toast is frequently singled out—with a large menu and friendly, family-run service. Patrons enjoy waffles, egg dishes and hearty portions, but experience inconsistent execution, slow or inattentive service, occasional wrong orders, surprise charges, and a somewhat worn atmosphere. Outdoor seating uses disposable dishware and parking is awkward. A solid neighborhood brunch spot if you double-check orders and your bill.

Not busy at all. If you don't have cheddar cheese for the omlette then tell people instead of bringing an omelette with no cheese. The omelette was pretty much finished by the time my friend realized there was no cheese. Upon Bringing the check You are supposed to ask if anything else is needed not just leave the check and walk away. There was only three tables of customers at this time. You asked me if I wanted the english muffins grilled or toasted.I said toasted which toasts both sides, came back grilled. Sorry won't be rushing back there.

Pros: Decent food Cons: Poor communication, unexpected charges, and inflexible service. Experience: My family recently visited Frescas and had a mixed experience. We chose to sit outside, which meant using single-use plates and cups. Our server took our order, but another staff member dropped off our food without explanation. My daughter ordered pancakes with whipped cream, but they arrived without the topping. Our server was not outside or around, so we had to flag down another server to request syrup and whipped cream, which they eventually brought out. However, we were surprised to find a tiny cup of pure maple syrup $3.50 extra! on the bill, even though we had ordered pancakes. The server claimed we had requested the maple syrup specifically, which wasn't the case. We felt miscommunicated and misunderstood. When we disputed the charge, the server refused to budge, stating that we had consumed the syrup and therefore had to pay for it. While the food was decent, the service and communication were subpar. Be cautious when ordering here, and double-check your bill to avoid unexpected charges.
