I visited Nashville for a conference and this was on my list to visit if I had time. I ended up visiting early on in my trip and came back multiple times before leaving because I enjoyed the experience so much. This is a great place to visit if youappreciate board games. We tried out 2 new games that I probably would not have heard of otherwise. The environment was muchmore welcoming than other places in Nashville I... View all feedback.
What Sasha ABITAN doesn't like about Bongo East:
I came in hoping to read and relax for the last hour of opening. However, the two females working with shaved heads decided to play very loud rock/metal music as if the were at home. I even asked them to please turn it down-pretty disruptive. The musicwas turned down a little. I understand that there were only 4 people in the cafe. However, employees should be mindful ofcustomers. This has not been my experience othe... View all feedback.
Great place to relax with friends and play games. The wifi is not great. The breakfast burrito ? is delicious! I've never been disappointed by the drinks they offer. They have tea, coffee, and beer/wine. Their monthly specials are creative beverages that are delicious.Food: 5/5
This is afeel good place where the coffee is just the best. Don't ask me about the food. It's okay. The best thing Bongo East does is make kicking Java. The atmosphere is loads of fun. They draw a fine crowd.Food: 4/5
Our food and drinks were fine, but we waited almost 45 minutes for two bagels with cream cheese and peanut butter. Apparently their kitchen got backed up and so they closed it (apparently they only had one person in the kitchen on a Sunday morning? , but only after we ordered our food, unaware of the wait times (we were not informed when we ordered . We were trying to grab a quick bite before running out of town and this was not quick at all. If you plan to hang out, maybe it'll be fine for you. We could've had a sit down breakfast in the same amount of time in any number of the restaurants in the area. Can't recommend. It's disappointing because it looks like it could be a really cool place.
I think I just found my new go to shop. Bongo has the best combination of work space and social space. All of my favorite coffee shops have one thing in common, they make me feel comfortable and safe. Which may be a lot of pressure, but if you frequent coffee shops, you know what I mean [iykyk]. They offer a small lunch and dinner menu, while also providing house made coffee shop pastry essentials. The staff is laid-back and inviting and were able to help me decide between drinks and snacks. I enjoyed an infamous lemonade mouth which included all of my favorite things and a delicious cream cheese danish (I was in a small utopia, honestly). There was plenty of space to work, but I would stop by here with some friends in between errands. They are open from 7am-10pm, which I thought was very nice for college students or fellow night owls. My one and only small grievance was for the parking lot. It's small, y'all, but there are a few neighborhoods, nearby.
