Bongo East - Feedback

Was Sasha ABITAN at Bongo East a mag?
I visited Nashville for a conference and had this restaurant on my list of places to check out if I had the opportunity. I ended up going early in my trip and liked it so much that I returned several times before I left. It's a fantastic spot for anyone who enjoys board games. We played two new games that I probably wouldn’t have discovered otherwise. The atmosphere was much more welcoming than other places I visited... View all feedback.
What Sasha ABITAN dislikes about Bongo East:
I came in hoping to spend a relaxing hour reading before closing, but the two female employees with shaved heads played very loud rock/metal music, as if they were at home. I politely asked if they could turn it down, as it was quite disruptive. They lowered the volume slightly, but it was still distracting. Although there were only four customers in the café, staff should be considerate of their patrons. This wasn’t... View all feedback.

Bongo Java is an East Nashville icon. The people are friendly and will pour you a cup of joe for you to fix anyway you like...Blacker than a pirate's...
The restaurant has a laid-back atmosphere with a focus on board games for guests to enjoy. While some customers complained about loud music and lackluster coffee, others praised the friendly staff, delicious food, and the extensive board game selection. The cafe offers a family-friendly environment with a variety of events throughout the week. Overall, it seems to be a popular spot in Nashville for those looking to relax, play games, and enjoy good coffee.

Used to go here all the time but other places surpassed in coffee quality, menu and atmosphere. High point of last visit was art in men's room
If you drink your blue milk, you can grow big and strong like Poe Dameron and fly an x-wing for resistance! Seriously, good beer. Good coffee, hundreds of board games you can play there for free, and tons you can also buy. Great place.
Top of our list when visiting Nashville, as family-friendly as a coffee shop and board game cafe.... the possibilities are phenomenal. We love to learn new table and board games ... look at them after a fun afternoon / evening with family or friends. So you can also try out all kinds of games before you buy them, we enjoy the supplement to our list of games to try to play for our family at home. During this visit we ordered the sugar-free vanilla latte, split soft pretzels, and once super time rolled around we all ordered different sandwiches that we all enjoyed (the Executive grilled cheese was our favorite). The staff is so friendly and helpful and the atmosphere cannot be beaten.
That was a good place to hang up for a few hours. It looked like there were several regular there playing the great selection of board games. You have a lot to play and a fairly large and varied selection to buy. Interior and outdoor seating, clean toilets and good coffee. That would be a good place to meet with friends.
You treated me right. Burrito needs work. Beans, no taste, eggs seemed like school pudded? Jalapenos were pickled... Burrito uses fresh, not pickled! Sighs. Sauce was good, vegetables should be grilled first. 5 stars for coffee, and leave me my way by ordering food / drinks. Great place.

I think I just found my new go to shop. Bongo has the best combination of work space and social space. All of my favorite coffee shops have one thing in common, they make me feel comfortable and safe. Which may be a lot of pressure, but if you frequent coffee shops, you know what I mean [iykyk]. They offer a small lunch and dinner menu, while also providing house made coffee shop pastry essentials. The staff is laid-back and inviting and were able to help me decide between drinks and snacks. I enjoyed an infamous lemonade mouth which included all of my favorite things and a delicious cream cheese danish (I was in a small utopia, honestly). There was plenty of space to work, but I would stop by here with some friends in between errands. They are open from 7am-10pm, which I thought was very nice for college students or fellow night owls. My one and only small grievance was for the parking lot. It's small, y'all, but there are a few neighborhoods, nearby.
Very cute Coffe place , very busy and fun. You can come eat drink coffee but games and play them , put puzzles together and spend the day here. Easily accessible and very cute. Didn't see a lot of plug sccebikitu for studying but definitely come here to have fun. Drink made very well and piping hot. Great Nash Coffee
I took a friend of mine to grab a coffee there and catch up with each other. It was my first time there, but she had been there quite a few times. The men's bathroom, as the video shows, is worth the price of admission ?. Plenty of colors ?. I love all the board games and the laid back environment. We will definitely be stopping by again in the near future ?Kid-friendliness: You could definitely bring your kids there to play some board games and have some fun
Creative caffeinated drinks, board games, and sweets! My SO and our friends love this cafe and can spend hours there playing different games. I have also enjoyed every drink I've ever ordered.Food: 5/5
Never had a bad experience here till today. Brought my 18 month old to get lunch today and apparently the fenced in area is too far for them to bring you food. Guess she was too lazy to walk an extra 30ft. Even when I walked in carrying my child she still refused to help walk the plates out to our picnic table. Will not be returning

The coffee was stale and tasteless. The restaurant was quite dirty. A 12 oz latte cost $5.40 but tasted like it was brewed from a gas station machine. The staff weren’t rude, but no one was friendly either; everyone seemed to have a bad attitude.
This wasn’t my experience on previous visits. I hope management sees this review and addresses this with the employees. This is a business, and while open, it shouldn’t feel like a concert where staff blast loud music to dance and lip sync. I came to relax, not to attend a show.

This place has a fantastic selection of games! They also offer coffee and snacks, including gluten-free options. The game tables are really nice, and there's plenty of space to enjoy playing.

One of best places to play a game and get coffee that we have been to. Very nice selection of games that are FREE to play. Coffee is excellent and we had a choice of three snacks for only seven dollars. Plenty of people playing and others not playing and just having coffee and food. Small area to sit outside and nice park space next to store. Plenty of other great food options in this fun little part of Nashville away from broadway. On street free parking was easy to find. Service: Dine in Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Dietary restrictions: Oat milk and I’m sure others
