Panera Bread

Panera Bread
3.9 / 5 (2350 reviews)

Description

Panera’s local café pairs fresh bakery fare and reliable coffee with notable vegan choices — especially a Mediterranean sandwich (ask for no feta). Staff earn praise for friendly, attentive service, complimentary touches and safety-conscious care, while the dining room is kept clean and pleasant. Critics cite occasional understaffing, inconsistent portions, high prices and small service annoyances like unspread cream cheese and a once-missed soba noodle bowl. Overall it’s a dependable stop for vegans, families and coffee-seekers, delivering tasty, well-prepared food with room for operational improvements.

The food was delicious, but it’s clear they’re understaffed. If you’re job hunting and enjoy the aroma of tasty food, this could be a great place to apply. They also need someone to oversee the cleanliness of the dining area.

I usually don’t leave 1-star reviews, but I used to be a big fan of Panera. Paying $18 for chicken broth, two bags of chips, and a chicken sandwich with barely any protein just isn’t worth it anymore!

Panera has a wonderful vegan sandwich known as the Mediterranean. If you follow a vegan diet, just make sure to request it without feta cheese. I think they should really think about reintroducing the soba noodle bowl. For those who aren't vegan, the bakery and the rest of the menu are quite varied and would certainly have appealed to me in my pre-vegan days!

I really love Panera, but they left my cookie and almond croissant out of my bag, so I left without them.

I spent $7.08 on a bagel with cream cheese and a large coffee. When I got to my car, I noticed I had only received a plastic knife and a small container of cream cheese. Honestly, why not just spread the cream cheese on the bagel for me? Or at least ask if I wanted it that way? It felt like a misuse of a plastic knife and was inconvenient to handle in the car. Furthermore, the bagel resembled more of a bagel-shaped piece of bread rather than a true bagel. On the bright side, the coffee was enjoyable.
