Raw Prawn Bistro - NAROOMA
Raw Prawn Bistro
Description
Nestled in a picturesque location, this restaurant boasts stunning views and a warm, inviting atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for special occasions. While many dishes, like the shredded Peking beef and salt and pepper squid, received high praise, others fell short, exhibiting inconsistencies in taste and presentation. Diners appreciated the attentive staff and cold beers, with the $88 banquet menu noted for its creative offerings. However, concerns about certain dishes being overly salty and undercooked suggest a need for improvement in the kitchen. Despite some culinary missteps, the overall experience remains enjoyable for hungry patrons seeking a memorable meal.

The restaurant offers great food, a fantastic location, a pleasant vibe, and overall excellent service. The steamed scallops are particularly delicious. However, a few dishes fell short of expectations. The Gong Bao chicken was a bit too salty, and the pancake that accompanied the Peking duck was rather dry. Despite these few shortcomings, it's still a wonderful place for a special night out.
We had an amazing meal and were so thrilled to discover this restaurant when we couldn't get a reservation at their sister location. The shredded Peking beef was outstanding, the salt and pepper squid was incredible, and the fried rice was some of the best we've ever had. We also tried the stir-fried green beans, which my wife usually doesn't eat, but she absolutely loved these. I only wish we lived closer so we could enjoy this place more often!
Outstanding. This Asian-influenced restaurant in the Deep South of New South Wales is exceptionally well-organized. The flavors are straightforward, showcasing how great food should highlight quality ingredients. Although I visited for work, it would be a perfect choice for a special occasion, thanks to its beautiful view and warm, attentive staff. If only they could master cooking a steak to medium rare!
We call this pub the million dollar view. Outside on the deck area the view of the harbour from the seating area and on a sunny afternoon the water is a turquoise blue. Spectaclar views of bar beach, seal rocks and the ooen sea. Great food and service. You can also bring your dog and sit outside on the balcony area with you. Parking: Limited parking out the back, free parking across the street. Price per person: A$40–60
