While Gilhooleys won't blow you away with anything spectacularly amazing, it will deliver good, honest pub food at a good price. Steak is always cooked well so I'm happy! I've been back a few times and it always delivers.

I ordered a chicken schni... read more In Brisbane for business a week ago. I wondered around aimlessly looking for a feed. I walked in to be greeted by very friendly staff. I ordered a chicken schnitzel. It was the best cooked schnitzel I have ever tasted, accompanied by sensational homemade chips and salad.

As our dinner plans kept being thwarted, we eventually ended up at this venue.It is a pub but had great food, wonderful choice of wines and good atmosphere.Ther... read more As our dinner plans kept being thwarted, we eventually ended up at this venue.It is a pub but had great food, wonderful choice of wines and good atmosphere.There was 6 of us arrived about 7.45 pm and we're seated quickly, by this stage had run out of a few things on menu but when we finally settled food was good.If all else fails this is a good place for dinner.

The air conditioning was not working, which... read more I was excited to try out this pub for a delicious steak dinner, but I was extremely disappointed with my experience. The air conditioning was not working, which was quite uncomfortable especially in the summer. The staff seemed uninterested in providing good customer service. The tables were dirty and sticky, and the overall atmosphere of the place was tacky. I felt embarrassed for bringing a friend there. I will not be returning.

Opening in Albert Street in 1994 it has been a staple dining spot for... read more Gilhooleys is a fairly decent Irish themed pub and restaurant located in the Brisbane CBD. Opening in Albert Street in 1994 it has been a staple dining spot for many over those years. I actually thought it had closed like many other dining and drinking venues since COVID. So it was pleasantly surprising to find it was still open. Any place that sells Irish beers has to be a good spot, I wish that had Harp Lager available as well. We’ll visit again next time we stay in the Brisbane CBD.
