AWFUL! HORRIBLE! DISGUSTING! THIS PLACE IS WORSE THAN HELL On a recent visit to Wasaga Beach, some friends and I decided to go out on the "town".

Visited in August 2020 for dinner for group of 8 people. Very busy restaurant area midweek. Service was friendly but slow. Menu sounded great but some of the meals just didn't taste as good as the description given. Average drink prices. Food prices on the...upper range for a suburban club. There was a good entertainer performing on the night we visited, but unfortunately he was hard to hear because he was hidden behind a chocolate machine.

We wanted to try the Banyan Restaurant as part of our sussing out local eateries. A lot of effort has been put into the decor and overall feel of the place. We took along my parents one of whom is pretty fussy. The lunch menu was the same as similar establishments - chicken parma, fish, a burger, and the like. The drinks menu was pretty extensive to cater for all tastes. There were no specials which meant the cost was a little high for us pensioners. The meals were presented well. We will try the cafe next to see what it is like. Happy that the carpet wasn't too swirly as is other establishments as I lose my balance and have seen other people in the same boat. Plenty of parking and the place is wheel chair accessible.

I had lunch today from the new menu, and it was absolutely superb. I tried the pork belly with caramel glaze and the halloumi tapas, and we also had the korma pie. Wow, it was melt-in-your-mouth delicious! Great job, everyone. Lauren was very friendly and attentive.

After a hectic day at work, we decided to treat ourselves and let someone else do the cooking. I must say, the Beef Wellington was the best I've ever had. My daughter ordered the Eye Fillet, which was cooked to perfection, and the mushroom sauce was absolutely fantastic. So far, I haven't had a bad meal or service at the Northlakes Sports Club.
