**Hobnob Kitchen: A Mixed Bag for Diners** Hobnob Kitchen in Naples has garnered a mix of praise and disappointment, reflecting a shift in its once-stellar reputation. While the ambiance and service received commendations, several guests reported subpar food quality and long waits for drinks. Menu items like calamari and signature dishes fell short of expectations, and there were complaints of unsatisfactory service experiences, notably with the hostess. As the restaurant continues to evolve, both loyal patrons and newcomers are left to ponder its future as a dining destination.
We have been fans of Hobnob for many years, but our most recent visit left us quite disappointed. It seems that something has changed. While our server was excellent, the bartender was incredibly slow, taking 20 minutes to get our drinks. Additionally, some of the menu items did not meet our expectations. The calamari was not up to the quality we had experienced in the past, and the corn and crab soup is no longer available. It looks like we may need to search for a new favorite restaurant.
Everything at HobNob was wonderful—the service, the food, and the atmosphere. However, we were taken aback when we saw our bill and noticed a $1.00 charge for the rocks in an Old Fashioned and a $4.00 charge for the dirty rocks in a Manhattan. We've never encountered anything like that in any restaurant before. We’re not sure if we’ll come back.
The Sea Base was very good. We also had the Fish Chips, which were very basic, and extremely overpriced... This Fish Chips meal was definitely not worth $34 for one small piece of fish and a little bit of fries... very disappointing
Appetizers and drinks were great ! Entrees we’re disappointing. We’ve been going here for years, and the pasta and fish dishes were lack luster. Not much flavor. Maybe an off night, but shouldn’t be for the price.
It was a fantastic experience all together: gastronomy ambience staff , a perfect combination and equilibrium. Waitress Jennifer and her helper Julio were above and beyond and The Chef Jose Aragon is a hearty profissional. The taste and platespresentation amazing.
