Amazing lunch at one of Naples finest. Had a great lunch today at Campiello, one of Naples best restaurants. I’m glad they’ve re-opened following the recent hurricane. We had the spaghetti and meatballs along with a small margarita pizza andthey didn’t disappoint. While it’s season now, it wasn’t crowded. We sat at the bar and enjoyed a friendly chat with Amywhile enjoying a great meal. I always look forward to a visit to Campiello.
The only thing that was exceptional here was the service. Our server was excellent and I wish I had his name. The food was comparable to a fast food restaurant. I had high hopes but left disappointed. We had a pasta, pizza, calamari, Caesar salad, andtuna tartare. The calamari was fried in the same oil as a fish and reeked of fish (or the oil was old). The Caesar was not cutup and the lettuce was definitely not something I would serve at a restaurant that’s supposed to be one of the best Italian inNaples. The tartare was adequate but nothing to write home about. The pizza was ok but 6/10 at best. Certainly not the bestmargherita in town. The pasta was maybe the best item we tried but at this point I was ready to leave and go somewhere else(which we did). Maybe once upon a time this was the place (ambience could be good), but certainly not anymore. The courtyard isnice but they placed a giant loud fan outside to help with the heat it also sprayed leaking water onto anyone that walked by,including the adjacent table. Save your time and go elsewhere.
Nice friendly atmosphere. Hostess, servers, and waiter were all great, polite, and had nice attitudes. Additionally, they were extra attentive as we left and forgot my iPad on the table; there was a gentle man who ran outside and called out “sir!”Right as I was getting ready to leave, he told me that I left the iPad on the table. Therefore, over all, I am very happy withthe freshness of the food, the vibe, and attention. They were kid friendly, my 2.5 year old son had a great time coloring onthe provided kids menu with crayons. I recommend this place.
This came highly recommended, but we were disappointed. First, they sat us in some lame back room. If you go here, don't let them sit you there. They did hit the ball out of the park on a few things. The cocktails were fantastic, as well as the saladsand apps. 2 of the 4 entrees were not good. The tortellini plate was embarrassing and the short ribs were super fatty. I had achicken special and the last meal, a pasta dish, was good, not great. Overall I expected much more at those price points. I dontmind paying up, but I like to see the value. Here I didnt
Loved the vibe and decor of the restaurant. The nighttime lights are so beautiful and romantic. Our dinner was very enjoyable; great food and amazing service. Our waitress was so friendly and very attentive. She definitely made our whole dinner experience10x better. Their spicy calamari is a must as an appetizer if you enjoy seafood- great crisp and flavour. I got the braisedshort ribs with spaghetti and it was delectable. The ribs were fall off the bone and the pasta was so simple yet flavourful. Ifyou’re looking for a nice dinner out, I recommend you check this out :
