Today we dined at Honest Naperville on Ogden Avenue, and it was a fantastic experience. The food was delicious, we ordered DABANG Dosa, Chilli Noodle, and Chili Paneer. The service was top notch, thanks to the friendly restaurant manager Vamsi and our server Vineetha. My daughter raved about the Honest Mango Lassi, saying it was thick and delicious a refreshing change from the watered down versions found at other places. Overall, we had a great time! I have to give this restaurant the highest praise possible (even higher than a Michelin star or cordon bleu in my opinion). It made me feel like I was back in the Khau Gali of my beloved Ghatkopar! The food was simply amazing, mouth-watering, and fantastic. I have very high standards for Indian street food, especially pani puri, and this place exceeded my expectations. Despite the chutney being rancid and the potatoes a bit old, I can forgive those flaws because everything else was extraordinary. This meal satisfied both my mind and soul, and I couldn't be happier. Nothing brings me more joy than good food.
We used to love Honest restaurant, but it has gone downhill. It used to be a cozy place with good service and tasty food, but now the focus is on efficiency rather than quality. You have to order before sitting down, causing long lines at the register. Cutlery and dishes are disposable, and the overall experience feels more like a fast-food chain. Prices are high, and the service and food are mediocre. Unless you're willing to pay a lot for a subpar experience, it's best to avoid Honest.
