Contribute FeedbackTown restaurant on Nantucket offers a delicious, albeit expensive dining experience. The atmosphere is lovely, with great appetizers like pork buns and kale Caesar salad, followed by excellent main courses such as steak frites and pasta bolognese. One group even made a reservation to return the following week. On the other hand, Virgils disappointed with their Texas BBQ brisket, though the Memphis BBQ ribs were a hit. The service at Town ranged from fantastic to lackluster, with some diners experiencing slow service and loud music. However, the food was consistently praised, with highlights including sushi and cod fritters. Overall, Town provides a great night out in downtown Nantucket, while Virgils offers a fun atmosphere and friendly service, despite the occasional food misstep.
Eating was excellent! this is a great place for sushi and the cod feed are fabulous. grace, our server, is efficient, knowledgeable and charming. love city and will go again.
Louisa was very friendly and attentive. excellent, original food. good value.
Tough nite for our server. he seemed the only one for the whole room.
Town is one of my favorite places in island. The evening was gorgeous so our outdoor reservation was a major plus. Grace was our awesome server and gave us our space to talk but made sure we had everything we needed. Food was so good, as always. The mussels are amazing!! It was a great night out.
This was our first time at Town. Everything we had was delicious and we liked the atmosphere a lot. It was expensive but that was what we expected on Nantucket. Pork buns and kale Caesar salad were great appetizers. We had steak frites and the pasta bolognese for main courses and both were excellent. We made another reservation to go again next week while we are in town.
