Town restaurant on Nantucket offers a delicious, albeit expensive dining experience. The atmosphere is lovely, with great appetizers like pork buns and kale Caesar salad, followed by excellent main courses such as steak frites and pasta bolognese. One group even made a reservation to return the following week. On the other hand, Virgils disappointed with their Texas BBQ brisket, though the Memphis BBQ ribs were a hit. The service at Town ranged from fantastic to lackluster, with some diners experiencing slow service and loud music. However, the food was consistently praised, with highlights including sushi and cod fritters. Overall, Town provides a great night out in downtown Nantucket, while Virgils offers a fun atmosphere and friendly service, despite the occasional food misstep.
This is a place that i wish I'd visited earlier in my stay here I just really love the feel of TownThe wait staff gives a much better vibe.
Good Grief, date night gone wrong! I took my wife, MsDarn BTookins here last night and let me tell you - it was sub standard.
We were wandering around Nantucket, trying to decide where to have dinner and we happened upon Town.
Nice setting. Grossly over-sauced food from start to finish. Server attentive but far too intense. Shame, because this place has potential.
