Lemon Press - NANTUCKET
Lemon Press
Description
The restaurant offers creative small plates and tacos, with a nice ambiance tainted by music volume issues. Seating is uncomfortable, but the food is good. The Persian breakfast spread and friendly staff are highlights. However, the timing of food service can be confusing. While the vegan options are clearly labeled, the service can be rushed. Despite some shortcomings, Lemon Press is a charming spot in Nantucket with delicious food and friendly staff that make for a positive dining experience.

What a lovely place! The food was really tasty, but I did have one issue: my waffles came with melted whipped cream, and it seemed like they didn't mind. Overall, though, the food was great!
I would give this restaurant 5 stars for the food! We had a wonderful breakfast here. However, I had to deduct a star because the entrance was a bit confusing. It indicated that we should go through the next door for dining, but there were no other doors into the building. It was a bit odd; you just need to walk around the To-Go area. Unfortunately, the staff wasn't very friendly. The ambiance of the place is really charming, and once again, the food was exceptional, but the two staff members we interacted with seemed somewhat indifferent, as if they would rather be anywhere else, which was disappointing. That said, it wouldn’t prevent us from recommending this place or coming back; hopefully, it was just a rough day for them! And definitely don't miss the kale breakfast potatoes! I don't know what they put in them, but they were the best breakfast potatoes I've ever had—unique flavor and absolutely delicious!
Absolutely delicious! The Grey Lady Latte was incredible, with lavender and vanilla flavors coming together to create one of the best lattes I've had on my trip. The staff were very friendly, and despite the café being busy, the service was impressively quick. The charming exterior of the café also makes it a perfect spot for a photo opportunity.
This place is truly a gem! The atmosphere is fantastic—modern and fresh. The food was tasty; we ordered the breakfast burrito and the rose water waffle. While the burrito could have used a bit more flavor, a splash of hot sauce made it just right! The waffle was delicious. I considered ordering a Bloody Mary, but at $16-$18, it felt a bit steep. However, I learned that's quite typical for cocktails on Nantucket, so I don't hold that against the restaurant. The only reason I can't give this a full five stars is because of the extremely rude server. It was puzzling because his demeanor changed midway through our meal. He was friendly when he seated us, made recommendations, and shared some information about the place. But then he stopped checking in on us and became completely silent when he returned to our table—no thank you, no acknowledgment at all. I initially thought it might have just been our experience, but I overheard a woman complaining about his attitude to one of the managers as we were leaving. That was a disappointment. Aside from that, everything else was fantastic! They also have great merchandise!
After a day of cycling around the island during my vacation, I stumbled upon Lemon Press and was delighted to discover a vegan-friendly restaurant with clearly marked menu options. Located in the charming heart of Nantucket Town, on a scenic cobblestone street that felt straight out of a movie, the atmosphere was absolutely lovely. I ordered the Veganwich breakfast sandwich, which was delicious and exactly what I needed after biking 20 miles. The staff was friendly, though our waitress seemed a bit hurried for us to finish, pay, and leave since they were closing at 3 p.m. This was somewhat frustrating, but overall, it was still a fantastic dining experience.
