The starters were excellent, with the shrimp being a standout, and the roasted eggplant baba ganoush was absolutely delicious. The fresh whole fish was quite impressive and very well prepared. It was a delightful experience to be served a whole fish in the USA, which is a rarity. My children were treated wonderfully and thoroughly enjoyed the barbecued half chicken and ribs. We also indulged in some enjoyable desserts. The wine list was intriguing, featuring a good selection that we don't usually encounter. Although Atlas is a bit outside the capital, we found it easy to get there. The service was outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant!
This is a beautiful restaurant located just a short 1.5-mile walk from Nantucket city. The food is excellent, especially the BBQ options—don't miss the ribs!
The ribs are absolutely fantastic and come with a delightful side. However, the other dishes fall a bit short. The Triple B-Burger was underwhelming; the bacon got a bit lost in the mix, and the toppings were just average. The cod was served with chorizos but lacked enough greens to create balance on the plate. Incorporating Spanish chorizo, with its firm texture and smoky paprika flavor, would have taken the dish to another level. If a few more dishes could match the quality of the ribs, this restaurant could become a great addition to the island's dining scene.
The ribs are absolutely fantastic and are served with a delightful slaw. Unfortunately, the other dishes don't quite measure up. The Triple B burger was rather unremarkable; the bacon flavor was overshadowed, and the fries were just mediocre. The cod was paired with chorizo, but it lacked enough greens to create a well-balanced dish. Using Spanish chorizo, with its firmer texture and smoky flavor from paprika, would have elevated the meal. The wine selection was decent. Overall, this could be a great addition to the island's dining scene if a few more dishes could reach the same level of quality as the ribs.
The starters were excellent, with the prawns being a highlight, and the roasted eggplant baba ganoush was absolutely delicious. We had haddock as our fresh whole fish, and it was very well prepared—a real treat, especially since it's somewhat uncommon to be served whole fish in the U.S. My kids were very well taken care of and loved the BBQ half chicken and ribs. We also enjoyed the desserts. The wine list was intriguing, featuring a selection of wines that are less commonly found. Atlas is located a bit outside of the main town, but we had an easy walk there. The service was fantastic. I highly recommend it!
