Would very highly recommend this place. It's new, not very big, and wasn't busy, but I have a feeling that it will be much busier next time. Had never tried high end canned seafood (only saw Anthony Bourdain try it when he was in Spain). So we thought, why not. Let me tell you the food was amazing. Had a couple of glasses of wine with it, which the bartender/server (maybe owner) recommended. We had the canned tuna, s... View all feedback.
What Michael E doesn't like about Afterhouse Seafood Bistro Wine:
No muy bueno. Including a $9.50 tip in the tab for 2 drinks rubs me the wrong way. What is more, the cc machine was down. I am suspicious...color me paranoid, but I suspect a business that includes that lg of a gratuity into the bill could be up to some shenaningans. The ambiance is pleasant, as is the staff...hence, the 2 stars rather than 1. View all feedback.

Never tried high-end Canned seafood (only did Anthony Bourdain try when he was in Spain). So we thought why not. I tell you, the food was amazing. Had a few glasses of wine with that the bartender / server (can owners) recommended. We had the canned tuna, sushi and oysters. I loved everything. Moreover, prices were very reasonable. Not like most places on the island. Go to this place, you will not be disappointed. I can't wait to go back there.
Fantastic sushi and service here . Casual and relaxed atmosphere and staff are very nice!
Secret hiding... Afterhouse is one of our summer lovers. Under the walkway on 18 Broad Street, it feels like a private small pub from the 1800s. It is a wine and seafood bar that is grateful not everyone gets. Its menu is concentrated seafood, including raw bar, small and common plates and curated cans from Portugal and Spain. The wine list offers most bottles through the glass and beer selection has smaller local and regional bottles as well as Chimay and Carlsberg on design. The menu should be shared with friends and plates are always delicious. ...”an After House is a small structure on the deck of a whale ship usually built directly behind the Galley. It was used as a common room where sailors would go to escape the elements, share a story, have a beer or enjoy a meal”
Love this little place with delicious food and great choice of wine!! Servers are the best
Word on the street is that this place isn't going to open because of staffing. Nantucket needs all the houses they can get so I wish Afterhouse would be a house that stays open
