Moxie Java Nampa Southside
Moxie Java Nampa Southside
Description
Moxie Java’s south-side spot combines a convenient location and a loyal local following with uneven execution. Many customers praise warm, caring baristas and strong iced and espresso drinks, but recurring reports cite burnt coffee, order mistakes, unreliable gift-card/redemption systems and staff turnover. Management and training gaps have led to strained interactions with some patrons. It’s a community-minded cafe with charm when well-staffed, but expect variable experiences until consistency and equipment issues are addressed.

I love their coffee, BUT, at this location everytime i try to use a gift card they always say the machines is broken. Or if I get a free coffee with the stamp card. They always put it towards the cheapest item. Always stuck up and never get my orders right.. I go to this one cause it's closest to my work.. but guess it's worth getting coffee somewhere else.
I visit this restaurant at least twice a week, and I truly enjoy every aspect of it. The staff is exceptionally kind and respectful. I always order iced coffee, and they always make it even better. I love this place!
I've been a loyal Moxi customer for several years, but I've become increasingly disappointed with the service at the south side location over the past few months. The last few coffees I've purchased tasted burnt and bitter. When I mentioned this to the manager, he refused to remake or refund my coffee, leaving us six dollars short and without our drinks. On our next visit, the manager came to the window and told us they would no longer be serving us coffee. There are plenty of other places to get coffee, and this isn't a great way to retain long-time customers.
This restaurant is absolutely disappointing! Save your time and fuel; it's not worth it. The staff clearly lacks proper training and consistently mess up simple orders, like a hot Americano with an extra shot. I've also encountered bitter and burnt coffee several times. I chose this place because it was conveniently close to home, hoping these issues would get better, but they haven't, and it seems unlikely that they will. There's a lot of turnover among the employees, which means new staff often need training, and that ultimately affects the customers. My friends and I have decided to return to Dutch Bros, where we always receive our orders correctly and with a smile. This situation seems to stem from significant management and ownership issues!
