The Hut Drive In - Nakusp

We just had ice cream ... or an ice cream type drink... most of the evenings we were in town... most of the other 'quick stop' type places close by 6 pm... and the Fish & Chips restaurant didn't really serve dessert. It was fun sitting outside and watching the local young people hang around.

The burgers were incredible and the shakes were even better. The wait was a bit long, so we decided to try the nearby restaurant, but if you're craving a tasty cheeseburger, then this place is definitely worth a visit!

Lots of different options on the menu, burger was good but not great and has lots of cool treats for a warm day.

We have stopped at the Hut a few times and have always loved the food. Great drive inn fare! The fried chicken and fries were delicious.

It was a Thanksgiving long weekend and my family and our family friends (group of 4 families) came here to have our lunch and it was our first time. Unfortunately it was a bad experience for all of us, the Chicken was has a burnt...taste color, fries have different old taste probably the cooking oil was too old. So it wasn’t fresh. And the very worst of all there’s a guy one of their employee came in to us in the middle of our lunch have a speech and he was very sarcastic on telling us why we place our order on “to go” packaging as we eat around their tables outside. Telling us he didn’t understand the concept of taking it into take outs instead of dining in. And preaching us on putting our garbages in their bin! For us as a customer we paid for our food and it’s our option to have it for “to go” packaging or for stay dishes. And he was soo rude, unprofessional in approaching his customers the way he did. We are with our kids and we just reacted the proper way as possible. And explain it to our kids the proper attitude and breeding on how to deal with that kind of person. 1-10 rating it was 1, We don’t want to recommend it to our friends either.
