Was Gauransh Pardeshi at Pelican Pub a mag?
Small place. But most economical place with class for a pub. Love the small place to the left. The price are very awesome. And also more importantly, try cheese Omlet here. Bit expensive but the amount of cheese put in it is just sick ???? View all feedback.
What Naresh Oza dislikes about Pelican Pub:
Beer too watery, they make their own I suppose, food too expensive for the ambience, but tastes ok, which is just an open place with a roof, flies everywhere, late service. Don't visit unless you have a choice. View all feedback.
I probably went with a bit too high of expectations because of a friend's recommendation but this place couldn't satisfy me even a wee bit. Ambiance: 3.5/5 Food: 2.5/5 Service:3.5/5 Let's start with ambiance. It basically has a couple of places where you could sit. I guess about four different areas you can choose from. Open, under the roof, facing the musicians or the traffic, you choose. They had a 3 artist band who had a keyboard, guitar and a bass guitar out - one of them also being a singer. They started playing at 8 but the music was not captivating. The furniture again was okayish, not the best to the comfort. Coming down to the service, there was just one server serving about four tables at a time and he was pretty decent and quick. No doubt the restaurant wasn't crowded on the Wednesday evening we went but still he managed the tables well enough and was easily available/accessible when needed. He did understand Hindi and English (I'm sure Kannada as... read more
Evening Drinks - Friday - 1800hrs Ambiance: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Taste (Peanut Masala Only): 3/5 Value: 3/5 Stopped by Pelican Pub after a long day of traveling and sightseeing for a cold pitcher of Kingfisher and some time pass. It's a very unusual lay out for an eatery, labyrinthine seating set over +1000 sq ft including a central villa/outhouse surrounded by tables dotted around the garden. Quiet and relatively peaceful watching day turn to night in this place. Oddly there are lots of one liner jokes hung up all over the place here - the proprietor must be a real character! Peanut masala was on the cards but was really disappointing. Too much haldi, no lime, no tomato... not great! The Kingfisher was as expected, chilled and refreshing. Rs400 for a pitcher and take note no other alcoholic drinks other than Kingfisher are served here. Write / like / follow [email protected]

No doubt the restaurant wasn't crowded on the Wednesday evening we went but still he managed the tables well enough and was easily available/accessible when needed. He did understand Hindi and English (I'm sure Kannada as well) and was wise at suggesting the quantity. The food? Yeah, that's the only thing that wasn't too well there. Made me feel that it's more of (just a) Pub than a (potential) restaurant. We ordered: 1. Scotch Egg: It was supposed to be out layered by Minced Mutton (Keema) but it felt to be a bit tasteless and raw. The taste of Onions was even more prominent than the Keema itself. 2. Mushroom Manchurian - I asked for a dry Pepper Mushroom dish but was served a manchurian. We bothered not to send it back and it was the only thing that we enjoyed a wee bit. 3. Chicken Tikka Masala - Bland, tasteless and eh :/ Tbh nothing good about this one. 4. Garlic Naan and Cheese Naan - Cheese Naan couldn't satisfy us that it even had cheese in it. Garlic Naan had small chunks of garlic literally smudged into the Naan. It totally lacked the flavor. Overall not recommended until and unless you're going there for Beer (which I can't comment on since I didn't try it)
