Terrace Grill & Tandoor - Fortune JP Palace

I hate the service and ambience there. Never try seafood here, the taste is so terrible. Grilled starters were good and the main course is kind of ok. Overall the experience is not good.

Another wonderful place which I was glad to make it! You get the best food with the best Chilled beverages. The hospitality of the hotel people is amazing. You are in your Zone!

This may not be an exceptional place in terms of menu or drink choice, but if you are craving some quiet time with your loved one in Mysore, the private rooftop table at this place might just be it! If you are staying at the JP Fortune, then the table doesn't come with any additional charge, but apparently if you aren't a guest of the hotel, you have to pay a cover charge of 1500 or so for the special outdoor seating with the overhead dome (check the pic). ???? Apart from the ambience, the service was warm, pleasant, relaxed yet attentive. Alyster did a fine job in that aspect.???? As for the food, it was alright, had a plate of tikkas: chicken was tender and nicely charcoal grilled. By the time we finished with drinks, it was late and we could have only biryani and a few other food items like sandwiches .. We settled for the chicken biryani- it was nicely topped with birista and had a mild flavour: probably prepared to suit all palates. Likely to visit in the future, only if we were to stay at JP Fortune, again.

This place is on the terrace of the Fortune JP Palace. We had a stay here and had dinner at the rooftop. The starters were pretty decent and the main course was also good. It was generous and filling. The service was quite slow. We enjoyed the chicken grills and the chicken fried rice. The peanut masala ordered along with the beer was not that great. This is more of a place to have drinks and have a bite of grills rather than a full dinner. There are other better restaurants in this place for a full fledged dinner with better service. But the place is beautiful to stay and located in the prime of Mysore to go sight seeing. The breakfast in their Orchid restaurant is also good one. bellyburp.wordpress.com
