The Hibachi dishes are exceptionally flavorful, and the salad dressing is, quite frankly, some of the best ginger dressing I've ever had. With sushi entrees and a variety of authentic Japanese dishes like curry and takoyaki, this place is truly a hidden gem in Myrtle Beach. The owner, who is classically trained, has a genuine love for his community and presents a menu that showcases the flavors of his native Japan in a fast and friendly manner. You won’t be disappointed! Make sure to go soon!

My girlfriend and I ordered two chicken bowls, and unfortunately, they made us both really sick. It seems like we might have gotten salmonella from undercooked chicken. I don’t know what’s going on, but I think you need to improve your food safety practices. I won’t be ordering chicken from here for a while.

When he learned about my brother's passing, he kindly prepared my brother's usual order for me at no cost as a tribute. That was such a thoughtful gesture, and he definitely didn’t have to do that. 2. The staff are incredibly sweet, kind, and skilled. They whip up delicious meals quickly and efficiently, and I’ve never seen a customer complain. They truly are fantastic! 3. The restrooms are clean and regularly maintained. 4. The sweet tea served here is one of my favorites. If it weren’t for the wonderful owner, this would definitely be my top highlight! 5. It’s a clean and inviting space to sit back and enjoy your meal. 6. The owner is also supportive of families with special needs. 7. Be cautious of the potholes when turning in from Beaver Run Road; that’s something outside of the owner's control. 8. The sushi here is exceptional. 9. There are other quick-serve hibachi restaurants nearby, and while some patrons may prefer those, Mon Cafe offers fair prices and high-quality food without overcharging. I’ve never received the wrong order or been overcharged, and the food has consistently been excellent at Mon Cafe. 10. They also have a rewards program, offering $10 off for every $100 spent, which adds up quickly. I discovered this charming spot a couple of decades ago, and it has given me countless good memories, delicious meals, and great prices.

The staff is very friendly, and as someone from the South, I particularly appreciate that the tea is always fresh. The portion sizes are also quite generous. My kids love coming here for lunch, and we frequently order takeout as well. The restrooms are spotless, which demonstrates that the team takes pride in maintaining the establishment. The owner or manager is always smiling, which contributes to the restaurant's positive vibe.
