Was Wendy Crespo at V Restaurant a mag?
I always love the warm, cozy atmosphere of this restaurant on a chilly winter evening. The generous portions of prime rib and rack of lamb were absolutely delicious. The grilled romaine salad and Jack Daniels ice cream for dessert were just as impressive. Thank you for making it a memorable holiday meal for my son and me. View all feedback.

The food was enjoyable, but the upscale dinner experience didn’t fully meet the expectations set by the hype. That said, it’s important to mention that California tends to have a more relaxed dining environment.
The food was amazing—those Brussels sprouts were the best I've ever had! The only reason I'm giving it four stars is because of the flies; it seemed like there wasn't a strong effort to tackle that problem.
We had a delightful dinner at the restaurant last night. It's early April, and the tourist season hasn't fully kicked in yet. The spring weather, along with the blooming flowers, trees, and lush grass, is absolutely beautiful. They offer a great variety of dishes, and their selection of wines is impressive, though that's no surprise. Our server was very helpful, and the food was flavorful, with moderate prices. If you're in town and looking for a pleasant spot for dinner or lunch, this is definitely a place to consider.
It's widely recognized that The V serves fantastic food, delightful cocktails, and provides excellent service. However, my latest visit was especially enjoyable! The new team member, Roger, was a fantastic addition and really brought a vibrant energy to this already wonderful local gem. Everyone on the staff appeared even happier than usual! I’m looking forward to returning!
It's all about the quality of the food, right? I completely agree with other reviewers who say that the food here is outstanding. We live in the Roseville area and often travel to the San Francisco Bay Area, and this restaurant stands out as being just as good as any we’ve tried in between. The chicken piccata was savory, juicy, and tender, paired with creamy potatoes. My wife loved the pheasant, which was delicious and surprisingly not gamey at all. My mother-in-law enjoyed the fish of the day, salmon, which came with a delightful apricot Dijon sauce. We also tried four different desserts, and each one was fantastic. The service was exceptional; the staff was friendly and energetic without being intrusive, even though we arrived close to closing time. I will definitely be coming back. My only minor complaint is that the water was served in the same plastic cups you'd find in a casual diner. When you’re paying premium prices for your meal, I expect proper glassware. The plastic felt a bit low-quality. Other than that, everything was just right!

Wonderful service, food was fresh and the outdoor space is great. Try the ahi salad better than expected. Staff is friendly knowledgeable. Good for groups couples. Prices are comparable to the Bay Area. Would definitely return next time in Murphys!
Scotty at the bar greeted us with the warmest welcome followed by a fabulous dinner. We had the BEST wedge salad we have ever had! I would drive 2 hours just for that again, but the Mahi Mahi was fabulous as well.
We had a delicious anniversary dinner and all who served us were warm, attentive- but just the right amount- welcoming, great service and staff all around! Delicious yummy food. Perfect ambiance! Will definitely recommend and return!!!
Great spot. The new chef is doing good things. Looking forward to the next visit.
My husband and I were there on SUnday for our 35th Anniversary. It was the best experience in dining that we've had in forever! The wedge salad using grilled romaine, was genius. The duck was amazing especially with the cherries on the side. The enrtire experience was well worth the money and would definitely do it again!

Wonderful experience. Food was delicious ?. Drinks were also delicious. They did more of a team based approach to waiting tables. There wasn't one person that was dedicated to us which led to a bit of a wait to get out check and multiple ppl telling us they would get us more water and forgetting. It was a busy day (Mother's Day). We had no problem being flexible and the staff were very kind and pretty funny. Definitely would go again!
This restaurant is amazing, featuring a great selection of gluten-free dishes. The burger with a gluten-free bun and the gluten-free truffle fries were exceptional. The service was excellent too. I definitely recommend this spot!
This place is a great choice for brunch, but I can only rate it 3 stars because I ordered the Greens Eggs and Ham and received it without the ham. The server should have caught this mistake. When I brought it up, they offered me a small plate of warmed lunch meat, but I believe they should have remade my entire dish. The ham really needs to be cooked with the greens to bring out the full flavor.
Excellent service and outstanding food! The charred romaine salad is truly exceptional.

Service: We dined in for lunch, and the experience was enjoyable, earning a service rating of 4. Price range per person: $20–30 Food rating: 5 Atmosphere rating: 4 Recommended dishes: Fish N' Chips, Salmon Benedict, Maple Leaf Duck Salad Parking situation: It can be somewhat challenging to find parking on weekends, but there are options, including a free parking lot and free street parking.
I recently had lunch at this charming restaurant and was thoroughly impressed. The food was excellent, earning a solid four stars; I particularly loved the Maple Leaf Duck Salad, which was a highlight. The burgers were also exceptional, cooked to perfection, and the Salmon Rillettes were a delightful surprise. The service was exceptional, deserving a full five stars; the staff were attentive and friendly, making for a very enjoyable dining experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, also earning a commendable four stars. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for a satisfying lunch!
Dining Experience: Lunch Price per Person: $30–50 Food Rating: 4/5 Service Rating: 3/5 Atmosphere Rating: 4/5 I had lunch at this restaurant and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The food was excellent, earning a solid 4 out of 5 stars. Each dish was flavorful and well-prepared. However, the service was a bit lacking, which is why I gave it a 3. The staff was friendly, but there seemed to be some delays. On the bright side, the atmosphere was inviting and enjoyable, so I would rate it a 4. I’d recommend this place for lunch, just be prepared for a slight wait when it comes to service!
--- **Dine-in Experience** **Meal Type:** Dinner **Price per Person:** $50–100 **Food:** ★★☆☆☆ The food was disappointing and did not meet our expectations. **Service:** ★★★☆☆ The service was average; it was acceptable but nothing to rave about. **Atmosphere:** ★★☆☆☆ The ambiance of the restaurant left much to be desired, lacking the inviting feel we had hoped for. --- Overall, our dinner experience was underwhelming and not worth the price.

The outdoor dining experience was just wonderful! We enjoyed a delightful lunch with friends while my toddler played happily by the nearby water fountain. The food was amazing, and even my picky eater enjoyed the truffle macaroni! The service was top-notch, and we can't wait to come back.
The truffle fries and devil on horseback are the best snacks for happy hour. Don't miss out on the blueberry lemon drop; it's delicious! In the summer, definitely try their gazpacho. The duck salad is also incredibly tasty.
The staff was extremely friendly, and the service was excellent. The outdoor ambiance was lovely, and the indoor setting was beautiful. The food was absolutely delicious! The shrimp and grits were outstanding, with incredible flavors!
The service was exceptional, and the food was top-notch—I have no complaints at all. Unfortunately, many restaurants in this area charge similar prices but fail to match the quality that V's provides. We began with the calamari, which was outstanding—gluten-free and made with cornmeal and almond flour. It was tender and fresh. The wedge salad was flawlessly prepared, showcasing a unique blend of flavors that's hard to put into words. The venison was cooked to a perfect medium rare and served with just the right amount of sauce reduction. Our server was both friendly and attentive. While this experience does come at a higher price, it was worth every single penny.

Eating at this restaurant is really amazing! I agree with other reviews that the food here is excellent. We live in Roseville and often travel to the San Francisco Bay Area, and this restaurant is a must-stop for us. The chicken piccata was flavorful and tender, served with a creamy tomato sauce. My wife enjoyed the delicious pheasant dish, while my mother-in-law raved about the fish of the day with apricot dijon sauce. We also tried four different desserts, all of which were fantastic. The service was outstanding, with attentive and energetic staff, even though we dined close to closing time. We will definitely be returning. My only complaint would be that the water glasses were plastic, which felt cheap compared to the quality of the food. Overall, we had a great experience!
The food was incredible; the Brussels sprouts were the best I've ever tasted! The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that there were a few flies in the restaurant, and the staff didn’t seem to address the issue proactively.
The food at this restaurant is truly outstanding, and I wholeheartedly agree with other reviewers on this matter. Living in Roseville, we often make the trip to the San Francisco Bay Area, and this restaurant is conveniently situated between the two locations. I ordered the chicken piccata, which was savory, juicy, and tender, paired with creamy potatoes. My wife had the pheasant, and it was delicious. My mother-in-law tried the fish of the day, salmon with an apricot Dijon sauce, and it was fantastic. We also sampled four different desserts, and each one was a treat. The service was exceptional—energetic and attentive without being intrusive, even as we neared closing time. I would definitely come back to this place. My only small criticism is that the water was served in the same plastic glasses typically found at diners. Given the prices, which are among the best in the area, I would expect regular glassware instead of plastic, as it felt somewhat inexpensive. Other than that, everything else was spot on!
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the restaurant last night. It's early April, and the tourist season hasn't fully started yet. The spring weather is delightful, with blooming trees and vibrant greenery everywhere. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and they have an impressive wine selection, which is to be expected. Our server was attentive and accommodating, and the food was tasty at fair prices. If you’re in town and seeking a nice spot for dinner or lunch, this place is definitely worth considering.
We also shared a salmon burger and added truffle fries. They split the burger for us without asking if we wanted that service, and the total extra charge for both items was $8. The burger was meant to come with chips, but we opted for the truffle fries for an additional $5. Unfortunately, they were not up to par – they were soggy instead of crispy. The salmon burger itself had a strong fishy taste and was quite dry. On a positive note, the servers were very friendly and attentive. I may give this place another shot, perhaps trying a different burger and skipping the fries next time.
