This is the best grilled cheese I’ve ever had! I’m really thankful that the MURPHYS has establishments like this. I've visited this area numerous times over the years, and each return has been better than the last. It’s places like this that add a special charm to the location. I enjoyed the pesto and potato grilled cheese sandwich along with one of their sipp sodas, and it was fantastic! The staff was incredibly fri... View all feedback.

What Ian P dislikes about Roquefort:
The adult food was fantastic, but our two kids (ages 7 and 5) were disappointed with the grilled cheese sandwich priced at $8, especially since it was only half a sandwich. View all feedback.

On the way to Calaveras Big Trees we stopped in Murphys for lunch. Here's what no one else tells you the devied eggs are WARM and have melted cheese on top!! (and jalapenos in the stuffing), Messy to split one so just get 1/2 order per person. Yep the winter salad is on point (if a little small) and PLEASE order the polenta fries. I had a whole grilled cheese and our table of 6 had split the fries, the winter salad and 2 orders of deviled eggs 4 halves. Even without the appetizers a better idea would have been to split a salad and a sandwich. This girl can eat and even for me a whole grilled cheese was a lot. (the photos make the sandwiches look small, but the bread is thicker and the cheese is richer than you think) SIttting outside on a summer day rockin' perfection!

Dined here during Memorial Day weekend. Nice little eatery focusing on vegetarian grilled cheese offerings. In addition, they have a nice selection of rather simple salads, and soups. While my friends all enjoyed their decadent grilled cheese sandwiches, I had their Asian Salad comprised primarily of cabbage, carrots, mandarin oranges, green beans, and a peanut dressing. However, it was light and delicious and certainly hit the spot for me on this warm day in May. I ordered one their specialty juices which included orange, beet, and apple juices. It was a bit thick, and the dominating beet flavor wasn't particularly pleasing to me, but others may enjoy it. Service was very polite. However, with the small kitchen they have, be prepared for a bit of a wait for your food if you arrive in a group larger than 6 (we were a party of 9). However, the wait was worth it.

We are locals and were so pleased to see a vegetarian restaurant open in our lovely little town. Roquefort has a warm and friendly atmosphere. Our waitress, Molly, was great. She was knowledgeable about items on the menu and wine that would pair with what we ordered. The food was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back and plan on taking family and friends.

First of all, they only had one high chair available, which was not ideal since I had one-year-old twins. This meant my other child had to wander around the booth, making it a less than child-friendly environment. My 15-year-old cousin, who was also with us, didn't want a grilled cheese sandwich, so my husband kindly walked next door to get her some chicken tenders. Upon returning to the restaurant with the food, the waitress rushed over and told her that outside food was not allowed. My cousin had to take her meal outside to eat, and the waitress even yelled that it was still their property and she had to go. So, my cousin ended up eating her food on the street. I would have understood the outside food policy if it was explained politely, but the waitress's rudeness was unacceptable. After witnessing her outrageous behavior, we decided to ask for our food to go. The grilled cheese was mediocre, and I ordered a tiny portion of tomato soup for $4, which came in a small container that looked like it was meant for dressing – it was incredibly disappointing. To top it off, we were shouted at multiple times to shut the door to conserve their air conditioning. This entire experience was unbelievable.

I absolutely loved it! The grilled cheese was amazing, and the coleslaw was delicious. What more could you ask for after a shopping trip in Murphys for lunch?
