Stopped by on a Monday afternoon for lunch. No wait so we had quick service, with that being said, the service was great! Our gal was cheerful, helpful and fast. Each course came out in a timely fashion, not to quick and not to slow... out of all places so far inland we decided to get the soup of the day, calamari, salad and fish n chips. We felt it being risky questioning how fresh the sea food could be, but when we got it we were so pleased to greet our warm, fresh food! The fish was perfectly fried, super flakey and cook with perfection. Calamari, salad and soup were also just as perfect! A bit pricey for lunch but considering what we ordered and it being a nice treat we enjoy every moment there. Weather was perfect so we hung out at the patio for some time even after eating. We noticed in the background they were closing up but not once were we bothered to leave, they allowed us to hang out as long as we wanted. Of course we were polite and decided to leave to hit up the next ice cream parlor a few doors down... Ha see next review! Highly recommend getting your dessert there.
Don't know where to start! Lilly Pad Pinot Gris was off the hook! I have the pulled pork wrap with salad. My mom had the Ruben with fries. The fries were thick with thick ground sea salt, the wrap was grilled and thrbpockeled onions set it off perfectly!!!!! Our new favorite!! Waitress was a doll!!!!
Good place for a quick lunch. It was a hot day, they were understaffed (overheard one of the servers complaining about the busboy being gone), and yet we were served with a smile, and the food was good! Great calamari, and good fish and chips. Easy on the budget and on the main drag.
Popped in for lunch....... I haven't had a Rueben sandwich in years and try the sandwich here. It was outstanding! Full of flavor, moist, a true taste treat. Husband said his chicken sandwich was OK but not off the charts. It was crowded and the service was slow but the waitress was wonderful and personable which helped take the sting out of the wait. Thumbs up, we will be back!
After a day filled with rappelling down a 175+ feet deep cavern and zip-lining through the Sonora Valley. I was hungry for some serious manly meal, fit for a hungry girl. So my smart sister, who learned from the best (moi), used Yelp to find us a good place for grub, thought Murphys Grille had a decent review that 's worthy a try. So I ordered the standard Surf 'n Turf which is a piece of fillet mignon served with a side of coconut prawns. Hard to go wrong with this, or so I thought... Maybe I have a different definition of what a Medium Rare Fillet Mignon is supposed to be like or Murphys Grille operates on a twilight zone version of the real world. So, in the real world, when you call over your waitstaff to discuss how the meat you ordered is overcooked, the normal response is usually, ok, my apology, let me take that and we 'll send out another one. But instead, the waitress lady at Murphys tried to convince me that the law of heat and normal physics will not bend in Murphys even though this quaint little town reminds me of the world of Allan Wake or old episodes of Twilight Zone. She then proceeded to offer me more sauce to make my fillet mignon more moist. Well, I picked my battle, and pretended that I was really in the twilight zone--the land where medium rare means your meat will probably need more sauce to make it tasty. I wonder who learned the chef how to cook...
