Menu
A complete overview of all 89 meals and beverages can be found here on the menu of Murphys Historic from MURPHYS.
A historic Main Street hotel with lively saloon and easy access to wine tasting offers occasional standout dishes (fish & chips, burgers, turkey club) and friendly bartenders, but delivers an uneven stay. Expect charming common areas yet dated or poorly maintained rooms, thin soundproofing, uncomfortable beds and surprise event surcharges. Service fluctuates from attentive to slow or rude; brunch buffets have arrived cold. Best for weekend socializers and wine visitors who prioritize location and atmosphere over modern comforts or consistently reliable service.

Was Brian Seibel at Murphys Historic a mag?
Great Historic hotel with active and well stocked bar Our room (the JJ Astor) had balcony access and private bathroom/shower but shared bathroom for other rooms, was clean and convenient We stayed Sunday and Monday night (with NBA playoffs going in the bar) and had zero noise problems. Great central location for the rest of the Gold Country experience with lots to do, see and experience Great restaurants within walki... View all feedback.
What William Castillo dislikes about MURPHYS Historic:
Champagne brunch was ok. We came at 2:30 and the buffet table where the food was, the warmers were out and the food wasn't hot. When we have a buffet at our country club, the food is hot. I think that they were shutting down. The prime rib was cut up n steaks and it was cold. You would think that 38.00 It would b off the hook but I was very disappointed. I had a wonderful lunch there, enjoying the Turkey club sandwich with French fries. The sandwich was delicious and quite generous in size. The French fries were excellent as well!
