Good food for a place on the main strip in Murphy's, but that also made parking less accessible. However, our plan was to park and casually walk and Grounds happened to be the place to stop for coffee. Decided to split a sandwich and salad...pesto was very good! Also, the caesar dressing. Can see coming back next time in Murphys, even though somewhat pricey.
We asked if they were taking vegans and they didn't say a problem. We ended up with a wet burrito that was delicious
The staff at the restaurant was very friendly, but unfortunately, there were no vegan options available on the dinner menu. The hostess wasn't certain which items could be made vegan and had to consult with a waitress. I managed to modify the "crispy" Brussels sprouts to make them vegan by asking for the bacon and Gorgonzola dressing to be removed, but they were still quite oily. I noticed that many of their salads were loaded with bacon, cheese, meat, and non-vegan dressings. Even though I requested less oil, my dish arrived drenched, which made me feel quite unwell. The best part of the meal was the complimentary bread served with garlic oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping, although it did come out initially with a large plate of butter.
I asked the chef for a vegan platter, and they were very happy to accommodate my request. It was amazing!
A delicious breakfast in the very cool northern California town of Murphys. A perfect stop after a weekend in Yosemite.
Nestled in the heart of MURPHYS, this restaurant has quickly become a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Diners rave about the impeccable service, consistently delicious food, and inviting atmosphere. While the menu lacks comprehensive vegan options, highlights like the crispy Brussels sprouts and free garlic oil bread impress. Guests delight in the brunch offerings, especially the Spanish omelet and custom coffees. The bar serves crafted drinks that beautifully complement the meal. Despite minor inconsistencies, the restaurant delivers a charming experience, making it a must-visit destination for great food and convivial service.

Always a good meal. Simple bacon and eggs breakfast with coffee. Excellent service from Brandi. Can't go wrong eating here.
I highly recommend this restaurant. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. We enjoyed the elk medallions, which were cooked to perfection, as well as the cioppino dish. The broth was delightful, and we relished every last spoonful.
During our wine tasting trip in town, we chose to have breakfast at Grounds. The staff was outstanding and very welcoming. The ambiance is warm and inviting. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!
While there have been a few inconsistencies in the past, the food and service at this restaurant are generally quite good. I particularly enjoy the eggplant sandwich and the chicken tostada grande for lunch. The breakfast and dinner selections are also delightful. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
The eggplant sandwiches here are incredible! We drive an hour and 15 minutes just to enjoy them.

The food is outstanding, and there's a fantastic variety of local wines. Hats off to the chef!
During our visit to Murphys, my partner and I dined at Grounds for dinner, and it was incredible. The entire experience was flawless from beginning to end, and the service was exceptional. Our dinner was so delightful that we decided to return for brunch the following morning.
I went to this restaurant for brunch with some friends, and everyone was happy with their meals. The breakfast burrito was delicious and had a very generous portion. The service was attentive as well.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food at Grounds, especially since it's a tourist spot where you'd typically expect average dishes. The reviews genuinely reflect the food's quality, and most customers appear to be visitors. The espresso machine delivers a great shot as well. The restaurant offers a bar area, indoor seating, and a small outdoor space by the roadside, where there is some slow-moving traffic.

We inquired about vegan options, and they confidently assured us it wouldn't be a problem. Ultimately, we ended up enjoying a delicious wet burrito.
The highlight of the meal was the complimentary bread, served with garlic oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping instead of butter. However, it was a bit disappointing that they still presented a piece of bread with a pat of butter.
I requested a vegan scramble from the chef, and they were more than happy to accommodate me. It was absolutely delicious!
