What Maude Terry doesn't like about Union Jack Tavern:
Had chicken tikka masala and Lamb Rogan Josh. We enjoyed both. The drinks are value for money and the place reminds you of a british pub. Will definitely come back. The male crew/bar tender was polite and corteous while the lady crew was not helpful.Must try. View all feedback.
Went to Union Kack tavern a few months ago with an old friend of mine who told me this place was here for many years. Large menu both for food and drinks. Prices are fair, service can really be improved. Good looking waitresses is not the solution to bring a high level service.
Not an easy to locate restaurant in the mall. Located in the 2nd floor behind Doggers, it has old school ambience of British era. Couple of torn high chairs will prove how old the restaurant is. They serve good Indian food however extra green chutney , 3rd serving will cost you extra. Indian food is surprisingly tasty however service is average.. recommended for those who miss Indian food in Alabang.
Place is good, cozy... Let's talk about the food... I had spicy mackerel pasta well it's fine but kulang sa cheese... My friend had their tapa, as per my friend beef medyo matigas...

Union Jack Tavern is the 4th Stop of our Westgate Food Crawl. Not really sure if Festival Mall is still within the vicinity of West Gate though. Anyway, let us not worry about Geography, I'll leave it up to Google Maps to figure it out. I got a lil giddy when i found out that Union Jack is a pub and offers Brit Food. Don't get me wrong my knowledge in the aforementioned cuisine starts with fish and chips and ends with meat pie. Interior. I ain't gonna lie, the place looks a lil dated. This is probably attributed to it's age. I heard that they have been around for quite sometime. It's not really inviting as you will be greeted by their convenience store set up at the entrance. The restaurant reminds me of a Western flick. The kind that John Wayne would star in. It is the place where he would meet someone for secret gathering of sorts. Drinks | UJT Punch | Pimms Lemonade I am too old for cocktails but i tries em nonetheless. The like Pimms compared to UJT. The former tastes refreshing and light while the latter has a strong alcohol taste. Food x Sweets | Sticky Date Pudding. This one tastes a lil odd. I can't put my finger on it. I hope this is just a bad batch | Steak Meat Pie | Chicken Meat Pie I wanted to fool my brain into thinking that the meat pies are delicious. The influx of adjectives in my brain isnt enough to feed my confirmation bias. Both tasted mediocre and lacks the wow factor. Albeit the lack of flavour, i am still thankful thay I got to try dem meat pies. Maybe i need to try a different restaurant to better appreciate meat pies. Two stars for the food and one star for the experience.
