We were talking the entire time about how badly we were treated by the waiter and how the table next to us was also super unhappy about the service.

We were escorted to our tabl... read more Yesterday, January 9, 2026, I booked a table for three at 6:30 p.m. at Mai Tai by phone with the competent restaurant manager, H.S. We were escorted to our table by an attractive, elegantly dressed, dark haired woman. A somewhat older, very friendly gentleman with glasses took our order. The food was, as usual, top notch. The tropically painted plates and the lovingly arranged table decorations naturally caught my eye, as I am a woman. The owner even stopped by the restaurant briefly to greet her guests, which always makes a particularly pleasant impression. The highlight of the evening was the serenade from this very same friendly waiter with glasses, who also brought the bill. He was so attentive that he immediately realized it was one of my guests ' birthdays. The food, ambiance, and service were excellent and of the highest standard; a truly wonderful evening, one that is second to none. ... A place with taste in every respect!

However, as for the quality of... read more I used to come here quite often years ago and was always thrilled, because the atmosphere is unique and the drinks are delicious. However, as for the quality of the food, all four of us were disappointed yesterday. Both burgers were dry, as were the satay skewers. The peanut sauce must have been a store-bought one. The dressing also seemed to come from a discount supermarket. The service, however, was just as friendly and fast as it always was. It's a shame the quality was so disappointing.
