I don't recall all the details of the four of us having dinner but here goes my best recollection. My wife and I eat a fair amount of Indian food but are not experts. Naan was exceptional, we had two, a butter and a garlic....Garlic was milder than I care for but both were large and the dough was extremely flavorful, very well prepared. My lamb tandoori was outstanding with lots of lamb flavor blended with seasonings... View all feedback.
What Nadine Pfeifer doesn't like about Shiraj München:
Food was ok, but the guy was very rude. Just because we asked him if they served the food in a specific manner that they do in India, the guy got pretty aggressive and saying no, we don't serve it like that because that's not...the right way to serve it. I don't recommend this place View all feedback.
Our Weight person made great recommendations for a couple of uninitiated “Indian food” diners. The food works for many palettes including vegetarian and it was all delicious. Many mango related options for dessert as well
They have Vegan Meals that are actually not vegan. This was my experience: I came with my boyfriend's family and friends they are not vegan , Me and my boyfriend ordered Samosas, which on the Menu were clearly labeled as Vegan, and we ate them....Then when our main courses arrived, we all got as side dish the same looking sauces as they have put on top the samosas. I got a little suspicious because they were looking the same and ask the waiter I think he was the owner whether the sauces had any milk products and then he said it contained milk cream, I still didn't ask whether they were the same sauces on the samosas, because i had the feeling he was going to lie to me. So i waited min and asked another waitress, whether those were the same sauces on top the Samosas and she said yes, then i asked again whether it does contained milkproducts and she said it contained normal yogurt, so i started complaining myself because on the menu the meal was label as vegan and it is clearly not, and they tried to blame it on me, because i did not specify that i was vegan, which does not make any sense to me. You do not go and order a meal from the vegetarian menu and then say I'm vegetarian, please do not put any meat on my plate. The waiter was very rude, he talked in a very rude tone and said what can we do?, he said that people make mistakes and they were not going to charge me the meal and that i should forget it. Like it was not important at all. minutes later he comes back with shots and asks me what do vegans eat, so i explained him that we would not eat any products that come from animals, and he said oh, nothing then. Then the father of my boyfriend told him, they should be careful with what they sell because someone who has a serious allergy to animal products such as dairy or eggs could suit them if they keep doing that, and he got rude again and said they were taking the vegan label out of the menu then. What an awful experience, really shocking and disappointing
Wonderful and quick service tasty food, children loved their butter chiken. The nan was great and big! Tikka masala and korma excellent Will eat there again
For a true Indian culinary extravaganza, Shiraj is definitely the place to visit. Superb food, excellent service and fabulous ambience. Food was simply delicious and authentic. On a three day visit, we had dinner here twice! Extremely friendly and attentive staff, could not have asked...for a better overall experience. Two thumbs up!

I found the price very reasonable for the city of Munich and a value. No dessert, we were full!
